The adoption fee is $75 for cats and kittens and $95 for dogs and puppies, which includes vaccinations and spay/neuter. The goal of this page is to provide networking and exposure for animals at the shelter in order to facilitate permanent homes or opportunities for rescue. Although we do our b

est to provide up-to-date information about the animals in the shelter, this page is run by volunteers that are not employees of the shelter and do not have daily interaction with the shelter staff or the animals. If you have urgent questions or need information about a lost or found pet or the availability of a specific adoptable pet, please contact the shelter by phone at 540.948-6945 for the fastest response. We request that all posts on this page, be constructive, professional and reflect principles of honesty, fairness, and respect. We have two amazing pooches at the shelter that continue to be overlooked for adoption, and we just don't get it!! Here are Lola (white) and Lil Bit (brown), both waiting to find their forever homes. Lola is a 9-month-old pitbull mix who is calm and sweet and affectionate. Lil Bit is a 3-year-old lab mix who is outgoing, energetic, and adventurous. They both do well with children (although Lil Bit's energy might be a lot for toddlers), other dogs (especially each other 🥰), cats, and farm animals. Are you looking for a quiet, gentle companion who will love you forever? Lola is your girl! Do you want a hiking or running buddy who's up for anything? Lil Bit is ready to go! They are both spayed, vaccinated, and ready to join your family. The adoption fee is $100. Please come and meet these beautiful ladies!

UPDATE - They are safely home!!

LOST BEAGLES!! Fredericksburg Road, Ruckersville. From the owner:

We will not stop looking until we find them!!
KNOXVILLE- brown and black male
BELL- white, brown and black female (has spots)
FUGLY- brown and black female
Please keep sharing every share helps. These dogs could be anywhere by now. Very friendly dogs.
2 females and a male. No collar.
If you hear dogs barking please check it could be them. call us at anytime day or night with any information,updates, or if you have them. We appreciate all the help so much. Please say a Prayer for these dogs to return home safely as they are loved and missed very much. If you have any beagles you know how determined they are to get out!! These 3 dug/ripped a wire fence up🤦‍♀️!
