We celebrated the Oaks coverage today with a fun Derby themed potluck. We had hot brown sliders, pimento sandwiches, mint julep chocolate dump cake, vanilla bourbon cake, meatballs, derby style Mac n cheese, potato salad, fruit tray, cheese ball, strawberry pie, and our own Lily mocktail! It was a fun feast! Unfortunately we had a short time to enjoy so most of the staff snuck off before I could catch pictures of all of them.

Have a fun and safe weekend all you derby enthusiasts!

A “vaccine visit” is about much more than just shots. At your pet’s regular vaccination appointment, we also perform a nose-to-tail physical exam. Nobivac® Vaccines help protect against diseases we can’t always see coming, and regular checkups help us catch problems early. Call us to schedule their next wellness and vaccine appointment.

Persistent scratching can damage your dog’s skin, making it easier for bacteria or yeast to overgrow.

Signs of infection include:

🔹 Red bumps or “pimples”
🔹 Flaky or crusty skin
🔹 Odor
🔹 Greasy coat
🔹 Hair loss

If you notice any of these, schedule an exam by calling our clinic at (812) 273-5737. Treating the infection is an important step toward controlling the itch and keeping your dog’s skin healthy.

Did you know that dogs can develop allergies just like people? 🌿
Environmental allergens — like pollen, mold, dust mites, or insect bites — can trigger itching around your dog’s face, ears, paws, and belly, and more importantly, could be a sign that your dog has allergic dermatitis.

Most dogs start showing signs between 1–3 years of age. If your dog seems constantly itchy, contact the clinic at (812) 273-5737 to schedule an exam.

You don’t have to see fleas for your dog to have a flea allergy.

Dogs with flea allergy dermatitis react to proteins in flea saliva that is deposited each time a flea bites the dog.

If your dog is chewing near the tail, rump, or thighs, a flea allergy may be to blame. Contact our clinic at (812) 273-5737 to schedule an exam and discuss a management plan. 🐾
