Sometimes rescue cases break our hearts a little. Today we received a call regarding a 6-7 year old female rabbit who was purchased from a pet store years ago and recently abandoned by a family member with an elderly grandmother who is not able to care for the rabbit. The grandmother has been doing her best to take care of the rabbit, and reminding her family member that she isn't able to continue. No action has been taken and the family member doesn't even visit anymore. She is left with no options for the rabbit and asked us to please help.

The rabbit wasn't even given a name by the family member. She has never seen a vet, and being female and 6-7 years old, the risk of cancer is very high (as female rabbits have about an 85% chance of uterine cancer by the time they are a few years old if they are not spayed--a very painful issue, ultimately claiming their life, completely preventable by spaying).

We are calling this rabbit Gigi, and really want to help her! The trouble is, we have absolutely no space. Gigi has no other options currently. We need someone with a big heart who is willing to help us take in this rabbit. We pay for all vet bills and help with supplies for fostering. Fostering 2 months would help us tremendously. We will teach you how to care for the bunny, don't worry. Can you help Gigi?
