Some dogs get excited to see me. Some dogs get excited to see other dogs.
Ollie? He's here for Erik. 😂🐾
Ollie has been staying with us for years, and this morning he wasted no time finding his favorite playmate. The excitement was immediate, and seeing reunions like this is one of the best parts of what I do.
One of the biggest compliments a pet sitter can receive is when a dog is genuinely excited to come back. It means they feel safe, comfortable, and at home.

One of my favorite parts of caring for Remy is hearing him arrive before I even see him.

As soon as his owner's car comes around the curve near my house, Remy starts howling with excitement. Then when she opens the car door, he practically drags her across the yard because he can't wait to get to me.

Seeing a dog that excited to visit never gets old. It makes me smile every single time. ❤️

I think it's safe to say Remy considers coming here a pretty good day.

Oz has been busy today! 🐾

We spent a nice long time outside while he ran around the yard playing with Izzy. After all that fun, he officially wore himself out and decided the deck was the perfect spot for an outdoor nap. 😴

Paul and Lenny making sure to greet me this morning. ❤️

Paul is always so vocal this but apparently today breakfast was taking way too long for him 😂🐾

These two are just part of the crew here. There are 5 cats in this home, and I’ve been caring for them for the last few years. It’s always nice seeing familiar faces (and hearing familiar meows).

When I first started visiting, there were actually 6 cats here. Sadly, one of them, Duncan, recently passed away. Rest easy, Duncan ❤️

So apparently I agreed to watch THREE beagles at the same time for a week and a half in September

Please keep me in your thoughts while I prepare for:
• nonstop awooo concerts
• neighborhood squirrel patrol
• synchronized sniffing missions
• and trying to figure out which beagle stole the snack

September is definitely going to be interesting around here haha 🐶🐶🐶

Nova looks very brave in photos… but don’t let her fool you 😂

This giant German Shepherd is completely terrified of the baby gate she has to go through to get outside. Instead of walking through it normally, she slowly backs through it like it’s a haunted doorway.

Meanwhile, she sits in the chair looking like she owns the house 💅
Dogs all have their own funny little personalities, and Nova definitely keeps us laughing 💛
