We have some exciting but also sad news to share. We will be closing up The Grounded Pooch effective July 5. An exciting opportunity has come our way to be live in caregivers at a shelter in Jackson MS. It’s bittersweet, but mostly all of our dreams coming true.

We are able and willing to continue business as usual through July 5, so please keep us in mind if we can help with boarding or training needs until then.

We have several wonderful people we can recommend for boarding/in home pet sitting, as well as a fantastic trainer. Please let us know if we can help you find what you need.

We cannot thank you all enough for making our little home business the success it has been. It is the highest compliment to be trusted with your babies and we will miss every single one!

We’re going to see our friends at Community Animal Rescue & Adoption - CARA in Jackson MS! Check their page and let us know if you see anyone we should bring back for you! Also, if you have some extra dollars after filing your taxes, I know they would appreciate anything you can send their way. This group is near and dear to our hearts. We know your money will go towards ensuring the quality of life for the dogs in their care.

This is how we feel, so when you choose to leave your dogs with us we take that as the highest compliment. Safety is always our top priority, along with ensuring every dog knows they are loved and have all their needs met.

Do you have a pup who has some social quirks?

Did you know we offer daycare six days a week specifically designed for the oddest of ducks…errr…dogs? 🐕

We maintain small playgroups and work diligently to matchmake so everyone can find a friend.

Even if that friend is a human instead of another dog. That means your dog doesn’t have to love other dogs to spend the day here. Jason loves to spend time in the yard playing fetch or wrestling or simply strolling with our more introverted friends.

Can y’all believe it’s almost vacation season??

Our boarding schedule is beginning to fill up for the summer, especially around Memorial Day and 4th of July. Get your booking requests in as soon as possible to ensure we have space for your pup(s)!

We would rather you book now and potentially need to cancel or reschedule than have to turn you away. We hate when we are unable to accommodate our buddies! The only time we charge a cancellation fee is if it’s done less than 24 hours from the stay.

We refill water bowls *at minimum* three times a day. Not because we have thirsty pups. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Today’s daycare enrichment is water play, apparently. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We have room in the pool…er program. Let us know if your dog needs a place to hangout while you’re at the office.
