We're a month away from the first Paws and Play of the summer!

Enjoy FREE fun for dogs and dog owners including activities, cooling stations and crafts as well as giveaways and information tables. No need to register, just c'mon out and have a howling good time!
Dogs must be licensed and on a 6-foot leash outside of the dog park.

If you're bringing your pup out to the park soon, make sure you take some extra precautions to keep them safe. We'll have water ready and shady spots available, but the rest is on you!

Registration is officially OPEN for our popular Tails & Trails 5K at Independence Oaks County Park!🥇🏃🏃‍♀️🐕🐩🐕‍🦺🐈

The race is open to participants of all ages with two legs or four. Things will kick off with a Cat Walk 1K at 10 a.m., followed by the 5K race begins at 10:30 a.m. The route will take runners along Independence Oaks’ beautiful trails. A family fun zone and other activities for participants to enjoy will be on site for the duration of the race along with local animal businesses such as markets, groomers and more! Br sure to visit the free cartoonist, or make a donation and get a pet photo shoot with Ruff Life Photography.

Proceeds and donations will go toward two amazing animal rescues this year: Do Only Good Animal Rescue and Great Lakes Dog Rescue.

If you missed the Pet Wellness Clinic this past weekend, don't worry: We've got another one coming up this weekend at Orion Oaks Dog Park!

Keep your dog or cat healthy and happy for less at this annual event, in partnership with Oakland County Animal Control & Pet Adoption Center and All About Animals Rescue. No appointments are needed to get your pet vaccinated, obtain preventative care, receive microchipping and/or purchase a dog license. Vaccinations, heartworm tests, flea prevention and dewormer are available.

For pet safety, bring dogs on a short leash with a snug collar and cats in a carrier.

Don't forget! Tomorrow is the first of four Pet Wellness Clinics, hosted by , All About Animals Rescue and Oakland County Animal Control & Pet Adoption Center. This time, we'll be at Waterford Oaks County Park. 💙

Guests can get low-cost dog and cat vaccines, tests and dog licenses on site 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Cash is prefered, but Mastercard, Visa and Discover are accepted. For your pet's safety, make sure dogs are on a short leash with a snug collar, and cats are in a carrier.
