There are lots of videos and photos we haven’t gotten around to posting yet, so you guys will be seeing content from dogs that have already completed the program with us as well as the dogs we currently have. Do you remember Ernie? We had Ernie here a couple months ago, he’s a sweet deaf boy that was such a pleasure to train ❤️

At Ernie’s go-home we had to show his owners how to work with him while using the ECollar and hand signals to communicate. It’s important for owners to start easy and gradually increase the difficulty. While dogs do have the skills after the board and train is over, they don’t yet have that kind of working relationship with the owner, and starting off easy sets everyone up for success from the very beginning!

Echo rocked it on our trip to Home Depot! She is doing a great job of handling her anxiety without biting and working through training. She is still a bit stressed but her confidence has grown so much and we’re so proud of her progress! ❤️

She goes home this Sunday, which is when we teach her people how to follow through on the training and making sure she keeps making progress. Her owners can now use the tools she has gained to work on more exposure and desensitization. This way she’ll keep making progress and not go back to old unhealthy habits and patterns.

Hello, friends! Alumni, do we have a deal for you!

We really appreciate all the referrals that you guys have sent our way over the years and we’d love to give back. As many of you know, we offer both standard boarding and short-term board and train boarding for our alumni. If you refer a friend who ends up signing up for one of our programs, you’ll get free standard boarding for three days! Take a long weekend on us, knowing that your pup is with people he knows, in an environment he is comfortable in, and the training is being followed through on. No fine print, no catch. All we need are current vaccination records and a clear f***l! Just make sure your friend puts your name in as the referral in our questionnaire.

Eric and Miggy hanging out after a training session. Miggy did well on off-leash obedience and recalls, even with a neighbor doing construction in the next yard over!

One of the most common questions we get is “can I still just hang out and pat my dog or is it bootcamp all the time?” Of course you can! Just make it a reward for an awesome training session. Hanging out and bonding and getting pats are their own reward! Miggy hung out by Eric’s side, did his famous froggy Miggy splat, and soaked up all the attention ❤️ When it was time to go back indoors, he got into the heeling position and it was back to work! As long as you don’t give your dog too much freedom too soon, or foster a mindset of your dog not being able to be calm away from you, you can both can enjoy some time together.

We are so proud of Lucy Lu and her owners! Lucy went from an overgrown puppy with a history of attacking a different dog in the household several times to a wonderful companion that’s eager to work and engage.

For now, Lucy’s owners are learning the basics and practicing the training at home. Long-term, they have goals of doing Rally with Lucy! We’re sure Lucy will love every second!

Balanced training works. It gives both dogs and owners their lives back. Lucy Lu is the perfect example ❤️

Loved seeing this timelapse today! Darryl and his owner enjoying the beautiful day while she does some gardening. Darryl is doing an awesome job staying on Place with distractions around. What a great training session! We love seeing updates from clients! 🥰
