Hello everyone, it’s been a long time! Hope you’re all doing well, and that you’ve been able to find your pets a good groomer!

Just wanted to share a few things I’ve been working on lately. First and foremost, at 2:31 am today March 11th, I became a momma! My new son is the number one reason I haven’t been grooming anymore. I miss everyone and all the fabulous dogs and cats a lot, but it’s a new chapter for me right now. Eventually I’d like to get back to grooming part time, but I have no idea when that’ll be just yet!

In addition to my son, we are continuing to grow our wildland fire business and I’m still in the process of taking over the bookkeeping, which is easier said than done! I probably won’t be out working on the line with Louis this year, but will be very active in all the other aspects of handling the business.

Thank you all for your support and business over the years, and I hope to see you and your pets again someday soon!

Greetings, everyone! Thank you for being a part of this page. It has been a long time since I've posted, and for good reason! Our business with regards to fighting wildfires and transporting/operating heavy equipment is growing by leaps and bounds. As such, I'm unexpectedly being pulled in too many directions to effectively care for your pets. Regrettably, at this time, I am significantly slowing down the grooming business. I hate to do it, but our other business is by far the breadwinner for the household and it's becoming a full time job just to manage the paperwork, record keeping, personnel, etc. Operating trucks and hauling equipment across state lines has literally overnight quadrupled the amount of work I need to do now.

I appreciate each and every one of you for the time we have spent working together, and I thank you all for your patience and loyalty. I will not be selling the trailer or anything drastic like that, but I will also not be grooming full time as I have in the past.

I wish everyone the very best and will happily send you the instructions for your pet's haircuts to relay to a new Stylist! I'll offer referrals/recommendations where I can, but to be quite honest I don't know very many groomers in the area anymore.

Thank you!!

Sometimes the extra large fluffy kids need to “marinate” for a little while 🤣 My friend Coco here is getting a (much-needed) pre-season de-shedding spa treatment! If we didn’t get the last of her 2020 undercoat out of the way, her spring “molt” would likely get stuck and result in a miserably hot summer for her if not handled correctly.

I do not endorse shaving these big fluffy dogs (she’s a Great Pyrenees blend) unless it’s absolutely unavoidable. Their coat is like insulation on a house, it protects them from the heat too!

Thankfully her mom knows what she needs and we’re fixing the problem before it’s a problem! Yay for Coco!! 🥰🐶👍

Now is the time to book your big dog pre-season de-shedding! PM for details 😎

Howdy everyone and happy November! It’s been a crazy summer and fire season! In past years, those of you who have known me are aware of how busy I can be. But this year was a new kind of busy as we grew our fleet of fire fighting equipment to now include an excavator and a log skidder, not just the bulldozer like in years past! That being said, my days “off” from one machine this season were spent on another, instead of home in my grooming trailer with your pets like I’ve done before. So I’d like to first say thank you for your patience and understanding! And I apologize for any inconveniences. This fire thing is the primary business for the year for Louis and I. We all know fires are not something we can plan on year to year, so we must “make hay when the sun shines” as the saying goes!

I’m in the process of getting back into the groove and will be building my calendar over the next few days. As much as I want to catch up with everyone this first week, I’m sure you all understand there’s only one of me! I need to go in the best order possible, starting with who’s been waiting the longest. I have been making a list but if you feel I have missed you or you just want to be sure, please reach out. Going forward I will be grooming fewer days per week, but will work longer days since heat is no longer and issue.

So bear with me, I’ll get to everyone as time and logistics allow! Oh and if you’ve found a new groomer, no worries!

Here are some pictures of all 3 machines from this year. The dozer, excavator, and log skidder all spent significant time on the nearby Creek Fire. The bulldozer and Louis were a big part of the successful effort to save the town of Shaver Lake! 🔥😜👍🌲

Good morning from the north zone of the Creek Fire! I’m sure some of y’all have been wondering when I’m the heck I’m coming home and getting back to “normal” work. Well, I can’t say for sure just yet. We have two pieces of equipment working on separate fires so my crew is spread thin, making me more than essential. I had hoped to be a “backup” this season, but that just didn’t work out as planned. But, we are making it happen! Saving California one day at a time 😜👍🔥. I appreciate everyone, and hope to reconnect soon! But I also understand your pets need grooming and it won’t hurt my feelings if you need to contact someone new. I wish I had more good folks to refer you to, but I do have a few names if anyone would like. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience, but fires and keeping my small team of guys happy and safe become the priority for me this time of year.

I will be sure to notify everyone when things change! I’m looking forward to seeing everyone soon 🥰👍 picture is a few weeks old now but is my excavator first thing in the morning, ready to go to work 😎👍🔥

Happy September everybody!

Just wanted to provide a quick update, as many of you know I am often busy in the summer months with wildfires. My husband and I own and operate a bulldozer, excavator, and water truck/transport. With all of the fire activity the last 20 or so days, we have been away from home a lot! I will be catching up with everyone soon, so please bear with me while we get home and I get back to “real life!”

Looking forward to seeing y’all soon!

Let’s do something fun on this hot Monday! Show me photos of your “Silver Snoots!” Any senior pet with a dignified grey muzzle is elegible, past or present. Like your favorites and we’ll give these guys some much deserved recognition! I’ll start with Holly, who I have posted before! She’s still with us and is by far the oldest boxer I know 🥰👍

Happy June, everyone! Just wanted to give a shoutout to all the seasoned citizen pets out there! This is Holly, probably the longest-lived Boxer I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. Shes 14!! And just as sweet as can be. Cheers to all the elder pups and kitties 👍❤️🐶

Just a friendly public service announcement... it’s FOXTAIL season! Please check your dogs’ toes, under their collars, armpits and other sensitive areas for foxtail injuries. I just removed these and many many more from a lovely sweet dog with a TON of hair! Hopefully none will be an ongoing issue but these can become a serious health concern if left untreated.

Hope everyone is enjoying the amazing weather we’re having!
