PLEASE HELP US KEEP THE DOORS OPEN!
We have a match donor who has offered to match up to $40,000
in donations for us to keep our doors open. Right now we have about 2 weeks of operations costs and if we are not able to bring in funds we will have to close our doors. Please share and spread the word. Any amount helps and even just sharing and getting the word out helps if you are unable to donate. We have been in operation for 22 years and we would love to continue helping the animals and people in our community but we need your help to do this! FMAS takes many forms of payment for donations. UPDATE:

We truly appreciate everyone reaching out and offering to foster or help. We do currently have volunteers helping care for the puppies overnight while we continue working on rescue placement options.

At this time, however, FMAS does not have the funding or resources needed to properly support long term fostering for this many puppies, which is why we are urgently trying to find rescue placement.

Our staff and volunteers have been actively emailing rescues, making calls, and networking throughout the day in hopes of finding help for these litters.

We also understand the concerns and frustrations being expressed. Please know we share them as well, and we are doing the best we can with the resources we currently have.

Our staff walked into the office today and found 19 abandoned puppies left at our doorstep.

Nineteen puppies. Three separate litters. Some still needing bottles. Some barely old enough to eat on their own.

And the heartbreaking reality is that FMAS cannot take them into our program.

We recently paused intake because our rescue is already struggling to survive. We are fighting to keep our doors open, trying to care for the animals already depending on us, and facing the very real possibility that without donations and support, FMAS may not be able to continue operating long term.

Then our staff walked into this.

Right now, we are desperately trying to find rescues willing to step in and take these puppies because we do not have the funding, space, or resources to do it ourselves. If rescue cannot be found, these puppies will ultimately end up at the shelter. We do not know what their outcome will be.

This is the reality rescues are facing every single day.

Our staff is heartbroken because every person involved wants to help these puppies, but wanting to help does not magically create space, funding, or resources that no longer exist.

We urgently need:
• Donations to help keep FMAS operating
• Rescue connections willing to take puppies
• Shares to help us reach rescues before it is too late

We are in desperate need of more donations right now. We run off of donations and grants only and right now we need help. Please share or donate any amount helps. We are one of the very few animal rescues in Madera who helps the community with their animals. In order to keep our programs running right now we have to bring in more donations. Help keep your cats and dogs healthy and protected with affordable vaccines, microchips, and dewormer. We will also have our pop up shop available with supplies priced by donation.

No appointment needed. Cats must be in carriers and dogs must be on leashes.

🐾BOBBY UPDATE🐾
Thank You everyone who donated and shared our fundraiser for Bobby. His surgery was a success with no complications. Now its time for him to heal and rest until he is ready for adoption. We will still needs some funds for aftercare for him so please continue to share the word around. Despite all he has been through he is still a sweet loving little kitten. He will make someone a great pet and without all your generosity this wouldn't have been possible.

🚨URGENT HELP NEEDED!!!!!🚨
HELP US SAVE BOBBY.
WE CURRENTLY HAVE NO MEDICAL FUNDS.

Please share and help us raise the funds to save Bobby.
This sweet little kitten was found by a good Samaritan and needed medical attention ASAP. We have his surgery scheduled for next week, his tail will need to be amputated. He has been provided supportive care in the mean time until we are able to perform the surgery. He has a very severe degloved tail injury that had been left to get infected and infested with maggots. He has been put on antibiotics and been provided a safe space and rest and the love and care he should have been getting all along. The good Samaritan that brought him in definitely saved his life by acting and seeking help and we thank them for their compassion. Please share any amount helps. The estimate is attached to this post as well we need to raise at least the cost for the surgery to save this little guy!! We have been quoted right under $800.00 for the amputation. Please share and get the word out, any amount helps. . We cannot continue this life saving work for the animal and people in our community without all of your generosity and it is greatly appreciated.
