Thereās something so bittersweet about watching your little girl grow up in the saddle, especially on my first horse. š„¹ā¤ļø
Iāve watched Lilliana fall off more times than I can count. Iāve watched her get back up with tears streaming down her face, scared, frustrated, and sometimes questioning herself. But one thing Iāve watched her do over and over again is to not give up!
Iāve watched her learn that riding isnāt just about staying in the saddle, running barrels, or getting faster times. Itās about patience, trust, understanding, and building a bond with a 1000lb animal that canāt speak a single word to you.
Iāve watched her grow from a little girl who just loved horses into a young horsewoman who is learning that being a good rider isnāt just about what your horse can do for YOU, but what YOU can do to become better for your horse. ā¤ļø
And somewhere along the way, Molly became so much more than just a horse to her. Sheās become her partner, her teacher, and her friend.
As her mama, itās bittersweet. Part of me wishes I could freeze time and keep that little girl forever. But the other part of me is so incredibly proud of the grit, kindness, patience, and determination sheās developing along the way.
The world may just see a little girl running barrels on her horse. But I see every fall, every tear, every lesson, every small victory, and every bit of heart it took to get here.
And I wouldnāt trade a single moment of watching her become the horsewoman sheās growing into. š„¹ā¤ļøš“
Keep chasing those dreams, baby girl. Mama will always be your biggest fan. ā¤ļø
