Riv’s Repttiles Rescue

10/26/2026

Okay friends this is not for our rescue but for a really close friend. She just took on 90 rescue balls. Yes you read that right 90!!! They do breed their own rats but they have their own snakes already but now has 90 more to feed! If anyone is able to donate rats or help with getting her some that would be a blessing!!

These snakes came in underweight and with health issues but she’s working with them daily constant more treatments and health assessments. But food is the big priority they are struggling with. The need is for small and medium

After inventory and checking everything. We are almost 100% winterized for the year!!

Only thing looks like we are down is a couple heat bulbs we have 1 extra currently and absolutely no extra uvb extra and short 1 that went out this morning

This weekends going to be a lot of winterizing the reptiles!! Making sure they stay nice and cozy through the winter months!! We have to do inventory on what we have still stocked up from lights, heating mats, and thermostats!! We will provide a list of what we may need soon 🙂 I know we are going to get substrate to set up all the new babies enclosures for the first time we have enough full enclosures and won’t be using temp ones. So the temps are staying in the loft!! We always like to make sure we have enough temp enclosures for emergencies but love when we get to set them aside and use full enclosures!! The new ones will be in QT for a few weeks before we move them into their complete set up and some maybe available for adoption after everything’s set and ready we just need to make sure they are healthy and good to go!!

If anyone would like to donate isopods and spring tails to our rescue we would be forever grateful!! We have surrenders coming in and while they hang out in QT we will be setting up enclosures. We have the enclosures and we will be getting more substrate but we are in desperate need of the clean up crew to help us manage all the enclosures.

Why bioactive some ask, well it’s less clean up we have the clean up crew that takes care of much of our work so we can focus more on the animal itself and it give us a chance to give them a more natural environment

Starburst finally decided to grow a little. This girl eats like crazy and refuses to grow. But she’s happy and content so can’t complain

These guys are growing like crazy!!! I get excited so see them everytime they molt

Just a quick update on this little one. When it came in was hardly eating or anything now knows the cricket and dubia container and waits very impatiently for us to drop them in.
