This is The Bert!!!! He came to the shelter with a horrible, chronic joint infection and injury that didn’t respond to treatment. Since he couldn’t walk well with it we made the difficult decision to amputate his leg. (We also made the not so difficult decision to cat-nap him from the shelter to recuperate with us!!!). It’s now time for him to get a home! He’s super friendly, loves to bump up on you for attention, and flops like a pancake for a belly rub. He’s neutered, dewormed, and up to date on vaccines. Unfortunately he is FIV positive (call us with questions). Stop by the clinic if you want to meet him. The adoption will go through the shelter! Please share. We are on and off FB jail for who knows why….

OOPS, WE DID IT AGAIN ! Meet the luscious Mr. Lucious! (Prrrrrrrrrr)

We took in this scrawny munchkin of the litter from the shelter and plumped him up. Total love sponge… he sits with his arm out of the cage begging for attention. He’s neutered, vaccinated to date (not quite done), dewormed, FeLV/FIV negative and ready for a home. He will need to be adopted through the shelter (he is sponsored !!) but you can come see him at the clinic!

Do you ever wonder what happens to all those stray cats running around??? Yes, this is graphic and harsh but this is the reality of stray cat over population.

These are only a few of the ones we saw in the last few months. They are the “lucky” ones who were tame or sick enough for someone to catch. Many were not savable but were at least spared long, slow deaths.

It is January… there are already cats in heat. This means new kittens will start hitting the ground in mid to late February. There are not enough real homes, barn homes, people willing to foster, or cages at the shelter for all of these cats. SO PLEASE…. Help decrease the over population by spaying/neutering the strays and ferals that you feed.

Happy NEuter year!!!!

Please make a resolution to spay or neuter the outdoor cats you feed, house, see, love, like, hate, etc. They are coming in heat already.

Meet KungFu Kitty Marv!! Super nice 1ish year old neutered male. FeLV/FIV negative, dewormed, microchipped, parasite treated and vaccinated. He just needs a good home. He’s at the clinic right now if you want to meet him. He will probably go to Pet Supply Plus in the next few days for more visibility. He will need to be adopted through the shelter but the fee is covered. Do you you need a little KungFu in your life?!! Bet you do!!
