As the harsh cold weather grips our city, Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries (DRMM), in partnership with the City of Detroit Government, has activated 100 additional beds to accommodate individuals who have no place to go. This critical effort ensures that more people have a safe haven during this dangerous time.
At DRMM, we remain steadfast in our commitment to our “No One Turned Away” policy, welcoming anyone in need into our shelters. Our outreach team has been tirelessly working throughout the community, compassionately encouraging those who haven’t sought refuge from the cold to come to one of our locations. Here, they can find warmth, nutritious meals, hot showers, and access to counseling services.
We deeply urge anyone facing the elements to seek safety immediately. Exposure to these life-threatening temperatures can lead to frostbite in mere minutes. We believe no one should endure such peril when help is available.
DRMM’s heart and doors will remain open all year long to those in need. Together, let’s ensure that no one is left behind in the cold.
