While there are no confirmed cases of the highly contagious canine influenza in KS, there is certainly a lot of buzz across the country. The AVMA has shared some great information for dog owners and veterinary medical teams.

Our Kansas veterinary clinics are doing great things! Like to run? Consider the TimberCreek Veterinary Hospital 5k in Manhattan, KS on June 12th.

Our annual benefit 5K Fun Run and Open House is coming up quickly! Bring your pooches and join us Sunday, June 12th at 10:30 a.m. for the fun run and from 11:00-12:30 for our Open House.

Funds from our benefit 5K go to helping pets in need in our local area. Sign up and registration can be found at https://register.chronotrack.com/r/67755 . The cost is $20 and includes a t-shirt for the event.

Open House will follow the fun run. We will have The Grill to Go food truck available during lunch, with vouchers for all of our attendees! Additionally, there will be family events such as a bounce house, face painting, and donkey rides. We will have a DJ on site, broadcasting the event, so come on out and enjoy some fun with us!

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics states we already have a veterinarian shortage in the range of 3,000 to 5,000. Veterinary jobs are expected to grow 17% by 2030.

As the sun comes up to reveal the tremendous wind and fire devastation, please know that we are ready to help anywhere possible. We have pasture space, cages & stalls, and can help coordinate animal transport. Our prayers are with our friends and neighbors who have lost so much. Kansas strength and resiliency will rise up once again as we come together to help each other.
