🐾🐶 It was bring your pup to work day and Dr. Tubman did not disappoint!! Little Daphne here was working hard to fly through her training. What a wonderful protégé she is! She was a wonderful assistant through taking radiographs, an ultrasound, reading samples on the microscope, running blood work, and the boring stuff like charting 😜 She’s clearly going to be doing great things! 🐶🐾

Continuing with our get to know the staff- meet 🐱✨ Julia ✨🐱 Julia is one of our fabulous Licensed Vet Techs. Since joining the AECC team she has become a loved and vital member of the team. Congratulations Julia to earning a new role of Shift Manager! ♥️

⭐️💫 Star 💫 ⭐️ from LHS (Lynchburg Humane Society) paid us a visit yesterday and spent the night. She had an upset tummy, but is acting like it never happened and is on the way to a full recovery! I don’t think there was one single staff member that did not pick her up, love on her, give her snacks, or give even more cuddles. We were all in love- especially Dr. Serocki. She LOVES those little babies. If she didn’t already have multiple medical fosters- she would have scooped her away ♥️ Also for funsies if you didn’t notice- she’s a “tri-pawd” 😍 Just makes her even cuter!!

Another precious wittle ✨🌙 Luna 🌙✨ visited us recently! She was so adorable it was hard to believe she wasn’t a beanie baby! She had a little slip when going potty late one night and broke her little paw 😭 She was not short of attention, love, or pain meds that night. She even got sleepy for radiographs in Haley’s pocket. (It’s called fashion.) Luna ended her visit with encouragement, kisses, and an adorable little splint! Feel better soon Luna Rae!!

Miss ✨🌙 Luna 🌙✨graced us with her perfect precious presence yesterday! She accidentally ingested something she wasn’t supposed to. This earned her a dose of activated charcoal to help absorb any toxic no-nos left in her system. She was the best pupperito! However Luna did get very concerned when Maya laughed so much she went into a coughing fit 😷 🤧 (Tis’ the sicky season!) We hope you feel much better Luna! & Maya! 😘

✨ A little behind the scenes action at the AECC ✨ Most days our job can be tough and sometimes sad. Therefore we take any opportunity to laugh, celebrate and encourage each other. ♥️ Adorable Cece came to us Sunday because she found herself in a bit of a pickle. However when we say pickle what we actually mean is a chewing bone stuck over her teeth on her Jaw! Often when a patient presents with a bone stuck on their jaw like this, the DVM (Doctor of veterinary medicine) will have to sedate the patient. Sometimes they cut the bone off. Not today! When Cece came in the doctor was caught up in an emergency. With another patient. The amazing staff said challenge accepted! & they rocked it. Thank you Cece for being so perfect as we wiggled the bone free. ♥️

Our staff comedian Haley decided to give us (and OSHA) a panic attack by sending this picture to the group staff chat.. No worries. It was a joke and no Haley’s were harmed in the process!!
