We just wanted to reach out to everyone and say THANK YOU! Over 34,000 people have now seen this post thanks to you all liking and sharing it. We’ve had so many caring words from clients and friends about what we shared and we are truly blown away by how kind everyone has been. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for caring for us and our staff and for understanding!
Hello to our wonderful clients! We wanted to let everyone know that due to the fact that multiple clinics in the area have closed in the last couple of years we (like all the other vets in the area) are booking out a little further than normal. Please be patient with us as we try to fit everyone in, and know that we do reserve several appointment slots each and every day for emergencies. We also fit in extra appointments through using drop off appointments, technician appointments, and other strategies to make sure everyone who needs to be seen can be seen in a timely manner. We have been actively advertising for a third vet for two years so we are truly trying to find additional help to open up more appointments. There is a national shortage of veterinarians and many who are retiring or leaving the profession each year due to stress, so unfortunately this is a nationwide issue.
How can you help? One, please be patient with our staff as they do the very best they can to work everyone in that needs to be seen. Two, if you need a normal wellness appointment please book far in advance of when you will need it. Three, if you have an emergency, call early in the day or if possible, be willing to do a drop off appointment. Four, if it isn’t an emergency but you aren’t sure if your animal needs to be seen, please do email or text us (include pictures/videos if you can) and we will get back to you as soon as we are able with some guidance.
We know it can be so frustrating to not be able to get in the moment you want to and we promise to do everything in our power to get you and your furbabies in when they need it. But our doctors and staff are people too and can only care for so many animals in one day. We love our patients so much and promise to do our very best every day to help the people and pets of Lynchburg and the surrounding areas. Please be patient with us (and all the clinics in town who are trying to compensate for all the vets who have retired and clinics who have closed this past year!).
Thank you!
