Rigel had his first vet visit this past week and did incredible! Beth has done an amazing job with his training and building up their relationship! Well done y'all.

P.S. Well done to Cassie as well! Having a well adjusted dog in the home is a huge help for a traumatized rescue dog. Cassie not only served as a playmate, but also a great example of how to handle all the different things that happen in everyday life.

This is why we take training recall ("come") so seriously. Eventually there will be a situation in which you NEED your dog to come when called.

I like teaching this cue to our more sensitive dogs. It's a great way to get them excited and happy when they're feeling a little nervous or uncertain.

This year's award for smallest Happy Pack dog goes to... Soju, at a whopping 4 lbs!
He recently started training with us and is making great progress! We look forward to watching him grow both in training and in size, lol.

Happy Pack is now offering "Adventure Walks". We call them "Adventure Walks" because they are long walks done on long leashes (20-50 feet, depending on temperament and training level). This allows your dog to run and explore whatever park or hiking trail we go to.
While training is a crucial element of a well-behaved dog, equally important is meeting their energy needs. In order to meet those needs, we need to be taking them out to fun new environments where they can simply "be a dog".

Shout to Matt and Tracy for winning this year's Biggest Fur Babies award. Their two Scottish Deer Hounds (Sky and Camden) have come so far in their training. When we first started training they were barking and lunging at every passing dog within 300ft. Now they are able to pass dogs in the street calmly and politely. For large 100+lbs dogs like them, these leash manners and social skills are crucial!
