🐴 Looking for a full time groom to finish up the season with us in Wellington, FL and come back up with us to our home base in Lyme, CT afterwards. Looking for someone motivated, knowledgeable and happy to work as part of a team. Job includes looking after 4+ horses with other help and an added bonus would be being able to ride on the flat, ability to drive a trailer, or have own car. Job includes feeding, mucking out, lunging, clipping, some flat riding, and grooming at shows. Lovely group of horses and nice people. Accommodation included. Please contact us for more information. WEF Week 1 was a success! Fanta Lime and had a great warmup week with a 2nd place finish in the modified adults/amateurs and a 4th place finish out of 60+ horses in the low amateurs! Blendon Hall Equestrian is looking for a full time rider and showjumping groom. We are open to people with different levels of experience of grooming. Show grooming experience is NOT required (but is obviously helpful), and you must be willing to do barn chores. This job is also includes schooling our top-level showjumpers, so experience riding is a must. We also value forming bonds with our horses, so you must be willing to spend quality time with each horse, gaining the trust of the young ones in particular. The ideal candidate will have horse experience (we can teach the specifics of show grooming), be responsible, and take pride in their work. If you’re not self-motivated, this is not the job for you! Please be a practical thinker, a proactive problem solver, a hard worker, and not take yourself too seriously😂😄. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn or continue their career grooming and schooling horses on the A Circuit both in the Northeast and in Florida during winters.
