I have some very exciting news! Kylie Jaques
came to me about a month or so ago and wanted to know if there was room for another groomer, and how I would feel about that. As most of you know my plate has been very full for a long time and have had to turn people away, so I was excited she had a dream and a plan to work towards her goals. Kylie has done exceptionally well, and is ready to take on baths and would love if anyone would let her practice on full grooms. Kylie and I have a plan to be able to work together and share my space. Please share her info for anybody looking for a groomer and are willing to help her learn and reach her dreams. I appreciate all of you that have helped me grow, learn and know I couldn’t be where I am with out your loyalty, friendship and support and I hope we can do the same for her. If anyone is interested in adopting or fostering an older border collie/ Australian shepherd. I know of an older female who is in need of a family. Even if you would like to give her a place to stay over the holidays she would be so happy. She is well mannered, very loyal, and sweet as can be. Please get a hold of me if you would like to give this sweet old gal a place to rest during the holidays.

I was recently contacted by dvr they have a high functioning person with disabilities who they think would enjoy working in a groom shop. As I am thinking of this opportunity for them I can’t help but wonder how all of you would feel about this. I would not allow her to run clippers, scissors or anything like this but thought maybe bathing drying and cleaning the shop. It would be no more than 20 hours a week. How would you feel to have someone else bathing, blow drying and brushing your pet? If I do have her come help me in the shop this could be beneficial is some ways, although it would probably mean more than 1 family of dogs at a time in the shop and of course someone else helping your pet. It would also make getting your pet in for a bath much easier. I would also understand if you requested her to not handle your pet and would make accommodations. I value your opinions and would love to hear what you think of this idea. Please feel free to text, pm or call me with your thought.

Things have been going great at the shop. The time has come to put a few things in place. I’m happy to say this will not affect most of you! Both policies will go into affect June 1st.

As we celebrated memorial today and talked about how grateful we were to those who have the ultimate sacrifice. Ridley and I decided to make sully a little more festive! Ridley is definitely a great helper in the shop and loves helping me try new things. Sully on the other hand just does what ever ridley says.

I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend! We have truly enjoyed being back in the shop! Thanks to all of you for having awesome pets and trusting me with them. And a huge thank you to everyone I called last minute you dropped everything to run your pet up, I understand it is an inconvenience and truly appreciate your willingness to help me out. I have been able to get 116 done and have 72 on the books so far for the end of May and June. I’m super excited to announce that I am only booked out 11 days. I know many of you have waited a very long time, I will continue to try and get you all in ASAP!

Thank you! I have the best Customers, I appreciate all of you sticking by me through working a full time job, to maternity leave with my daughter, to corona virus. You have made my dream come true. I was able to get 47 dogs in this week. Thank you so much to the people I called in early I’m sure I disrupted your day and know it’s a pain to drop everything and run your pup up. I appreciate all of you being so patient with me and waiting your turn. I’m still trying to keep it to one family of dogs at a time, but sometimes it overlaps a little. I will continue to disinfect my tools, kennels and cut off hair the best I can, but as we all know dog hair gets everywhere. If you feel better wearing a mask please do so, and if you would like me to wear one please let me know. If you need to reschedule please let me know so I can call someone else in. A no call no show puts me in a scramble trying to call someone else in and then I disrupt someone else’s day and I like to try and make things as convenient as possible for everyone. Thank you all it’s great to be back doing what I love!
