Here information on the PEC

Yesterday I went to a PEC -1 day program. If you don't know about the PEC ( Pa Equine Council) or don't feel like you would benefit from joining, you are mistaken.

First: your membership dues + a few bucks gets you a $1,000,000 liability policy on your horses. Right there is a win. You can NOT get that insurance rider for the cost of dues anywhere else.

Second If you have a horse you need PEC! When legislation comes up to and it is a detriment to the horse community, they not only lobby to our benefit but they educate the other communities & officials about the real truths about horses.

Third if you use parks, forests, Gamelands or other government owned land, you need PEC. The other communities: (birdwatchers, mountain bikers, hikers etc) have LARGE membership rosters so they get more attention to their needs.

Fourth: The PEC is responsible for opening communications with the powers at be with regard to fixing existing trails, adding trails and REPAIRING trails.

The list goes but the above mentioned should plenty to motivate you to renew or join ASAP.
