How heartbreaking 💔 I just heard Shorty Polston has passed away. I remember in 2006 at the Crossroads Poultry show I saw this man admiring one of my Silkies. I told him it was my Shorty Polston line that I got from Alan Stanford. He said, "I'm Shorty!"
He visited me in 2008, I think, with Alan, and we went over 500 Silkies from 12 to 6pm. I had gone overboard. When we were done he picked 3 pairs he wanted and said, exhausted, "I'll never criticize another judge" He was very generous with his knowledge and time. I loved seeing him at the shows... He was a very kind southern gentleman. Rest in peace, Shorty.
This was the first chick I hatched from my Shorty line.
