We have been saying the F word a lot lately..

F..

U...

FULL.

We have turned away 86 dogs in the last 30 days. That is almost 3 dogs a day. We can't accept new dogs until our dogs get adopted 💔

We want to work with "misunderstood..hard to place" dogs who need extra support... you know this. The scary feeling for us is to realize those dogs aren't getting adopted anymore. They are still waiting for homes. Sitting in our barn (having a BALL .. playing, learning, feeling loved. But waiting). Even more alarming to us....highly adoptable, beautiful, social, healthy, young dogs aren't getting adopted quickly either. Young, highly adoptable dogs who used to FLY into homes are having a hard time finding a high quality loving home.

Until we are able to adopt out some of our adult dogs, we have to say we are full. We have officially closed our wait list and we are declining all new intakes and surrender inquires.

There is no way to sugar coat this - we are in a very scary, uncertain time and the shift in pace of adoptions has caused us to adjust our operations. We have to pause taking in new dogs until we catch up with adoptions. We have to say we are FULL.
