We desperately need fosters to help us get some of our kittens, puppies and dogs out of the shelter! We are at max capacity right now and these babies deserve a safe and loving foster home to decompress, enjoy a routine and give us a chance to get great pictures, videos and home notes to help them find their forever homes! Please reach out to us if you’re willing to foster, or better yet adopt!!

You can message us here or text our shelter phone at 512-749-5643

There’s a very exciting Volunteer run project happening at our shelter on Sunday!

The Luling Animal Welfare Society (LAWS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping lost, abandoned, and homeless animals in the Luling community. Through adoptions, volunteer support, fundraising, and daily care, LAWS works tirelessly to give dogs and cats a second chance at finding loving homes. The organization was created to support the City of Luling Animal Shelter and has helped save hundreds of animals that may not have otherwise had that opportunity. (City of Luling)

Our All Paws on Deck for LAWS project is all about giving back to the people and animals who make this mission possible. By refreshing and revitalizing the shelter space, we hope to create a warmer, more welcoming environment for the dedicated staff, volunteers, and the animals waiting for their forever families.

UPDATE:
You all are absolutely amazing!! You have done it again! Thanks to everyone who shared this post, this little guy is going home. 🥰 The owner said he has been missing for 3 weeks and she has been beside herself the whole time. 😢. He will be microchipped before he leaves the shelter in case he decides to go gallivanting again!! 🐾🐶🥰

This georgious dog was brought to the wrong shelter. It was found in Guadalupe County. Does anyone recognize it. It is well taken care of and we know someone is missing it. As always, there will have to be proof of ownership for the dog to be released. If you know where this kind soul belongs, please let their owner know where it is.

We have a special boy that I believe needs a job!

Wiggles was picked up by Animal Control after being left tied out in a backyard with no food or water when his owners moved. Fast forward 1 year, and Wiggles has completed a board and train session where we learned so much about this little man. While he is drivey, he is a sweet boy and needs someone who has the time and skills to mold him into his best self. He loves playing two-handed fetch, and the way he carries around his Kong like a pacifier is absolutely adorable! We would love for him to find his furever home.

If you are interested in meeting Wiggles to foster or adopt, you can message our page or call/text 512-749-5643.

These faces are why we can’t stop fighting.

Oakleigh. Declan. Mischia. Anja. Ryleigh. Dusty. Whitney. Owen.

Every single one of them is a good dog deserving of a couch, a family, and a life outside of kennel walls. But the reality is… without fosters and adopters stepping up, they sit. And wait.

They wait while families scroll past.
They wait while the shelter gets louder.
They wait while their stress grows.
They wait for someone to notice that they are more than just another dog in a kennel.

And the heartbreaking truth? We can’t save more lives if there’s nowhere for them to go. Fosters are the bridge between homelessness and forever homes. Adopters are the happy ending. And shares? Shares are often what puts these dogs in front of the one person who says, “that’s my dog.”

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, adopting, donating, or even just hitting that share button—this is your sign. You could be the reason one of these dogs gets out.

Please share these babies far and wide. Tag friends. Post them to your stories. Talk about them. Help us get their faces seen.

They’ve waited long enough. Let’s find them the homes they deserve. ❤️🐾

It has been said that it takes a village to raise a child. The same can be said for rescue.

Wilson (Willie) came to us about 10 years ago as a puppy. He was adopted shortly afterward and began the best life a dog could ask for. He was his owner's copilot, best friend, and the love of her life.

Unfortunately, his owner passed away a few months ago and ended up back with us. For the past month Willie was waiting for his final forever home. Thanks to everyone who shared his story and advocated for him, an absolutely amazing home was found.

Willie and his new owner are writing his second chapter and we anticipate it being just as magnificent as the first. Best wishes to you old man. You are loved more than you can possibly imagine. 🥰🐾🐕
