🌟 Happy Opposite Day from Texas Gentle Giants! 🌟

Today is the one day a year our Danes don’t sleep…

…so naturally, they’re celebrating by doing what they do best: sleeping even harder.

Opposite Day or not, these giant babies are committed to their craft — professional couch melting, synchronized snoozing, and elite-level “I’ll get up in five minutes” energy.

If this is them being “opposite,” we’re terrified to see what nap time looks like on a normal day. 😂

Does anyone else have a Great Dane with a “Paci”? 😂 Jasper has been lovingly suckling this poor, worn-out stuffed caterpillar like it’s his comfort buddy from day one. It’s equal parts hilarious and heart-melting. 💙🐛

Mika is settling in beautifully with the pack! 🐾

We’re absolutely loving watching her blossom. While we’re still working with our vet to get to the bottom of what looks like a bit of pyoderma, Mika has been gaining weight and really coming into her own. Her fearless, silly, and incredibly loving personality is shining through more and more each day.

She’s already such a special part of our Great Dane family, and we couldn’t be more proud of how well she’s adjusting. 💕🐶

With 4th of July coming up please keep in mind that fireworks can in fact cause seizures, heart attacks, strokes, and other health problems.

Please make sure that your contact info is up to date and can be located somewhere on their collars). Please make sure that your pups are microchipped so if they do escape and get found, they can get reacquainted with you.

It will be more beneficial for them if you can keep them inside at all times when / while fireworks are being used. Have the tv on as loud as you can stand it.

If your dogs have been / currently in training, this would be the time to work with them inside. Redirect them towards commands so that they are not distracted or frightened by the fireworks.

🐾 Welcome Home, Mika! 🐾

We’re thrilled to introduce the newest (and biggest!) member of our family — Mika, a beautiful full-blood blue European Great Dane who joined us yesterday all the way from Virginia. 💙 Thanks Wendy Mouser & for getting her to us safely.

From the moment we laid eyes on her, we knew she was meant to be part of our lives. Her gentle spirit and majestic presence have already stolen our hearts as well as the rest of the fur babies...we are all in love.

We’re so excited for the journey ahead with her — and yes, if all goes well, you can expect some stunning half Euro, half American Great Dane puppies in late 2026. 🐶✨

Stay tuned for more Mika moments — we’re already obsessed. 🐕💕
