Very cautiously posting another confirmed heartbeat! 🥹

❤JMP HOLLYWOOD WHIZ X CA BLACK CRESCENT❤

We made several attempts to breed Paris to our Sr stallion, Classicwatchquickson (Tazz) this spring & were unsuccessful. After multiple attempts and zero pregnancies I began to get suspicous about his semen quality & we made the decision to use our Jr stallion, Bex for the first time.

I'm happy to announce she had a 31 day heartbeat confirmed today & we'll have our FIRST foal by him in 2027. 🤩

This baby will have some size & make a really nice all-around prospect. Color won't hurt either with a 50% chance black, 50% smoky black. 🖤🔥🔥

It's been a few exhausting weeks since we've been able to share another confirmed heartbeat for a 2027 foal.

We were planning for ❤two❤ of them today & ended up just being one mare confirmed but this year, I guess we'll take whatever wins we can accomplish.🤨 It only took 3 rounds of AI on this one.🫣

So here goes...✌️🙏

Snipers Smoking Gun X BLUE WHISKEY

🧬Whiskey checked in foal with a heartbeat today to Health Jones' nice stallion & I am absolutely STOKED about this cross.🤩 With the combined reining (top side) & cutting (bottom side) bloodlines I'm hoping for a nice cow horse baby. 🫶

Whiskey is a direct daughter of the great Once in a Blu Boon x daughter of Paddys Irish Whiskey. She's very well broke, started as a cutter, & has earnings in ranch sorting.

This girl has the whole package.❤ And she's super friendly so it's hard to get decent pics because she's always coming to me. 🥹 We'll see if she's still that interested in being my friend after we freeze brand & worm everybody tomorrow! 😅

High Brow Stripes x CA Black Crescent

Paris foaled a gorgeous grulla filly by High Brow Stripes on January 12th. This little gal’s only white marking is a small star on her forehead.

Jewel’s pedigree is loaded with old school cutting lines on the top side. She’s a granddaughter of High Brow Hickory & Boon Bar (double bred Doc Bar). Her bottom side boasts some favorite foundation ranch lines including Leo Hancock Hayes, The Continental, Poco Tivio, Azure Te & The Flying Saint.

Jewel is 6 panel NN (including IMM) by parentage & we will be testing to see if she’s homozygous for the black gene.

Currently not for sale.

Somebody really decided to ROAN while shedding her baby fuzz! 😍

Colonels Smart Spook x Blue Whiskey

Whiskey foaled a stunning red ROAN filly late in the evening on March 21st. She’s all legs with a star on her forehead. There don’t appear to be any white socks.

Cherry has a phenomenal pedigree stacked with some of the best names in the reining horse world on her top side & cutting horse champions on her bottom side. She’s got Smart Spook, Colonels Smoking Gun, Smart Chic Olena, Once In A Blu Boon, Paddys Irish Whiskey & Peptoboonsmal ALL on her papers.

She should mature to 14.2 hands. Her sire is 6 panel NN including IMM & dam is 5 panel NN, n/IMM.

Cherry is NRHA & NRBC eligible.

A Message to Prospective Horse Buyers

If you’re out there looking for your next show horse, futurity prospect, or future producer… I want to talk to you for a moment.
Because somewhere out there right now, a small breeder is standing in a quiet barn, brushing a mare they’ve owned for years — a mare they know better than most people know their own family. They know her quirks, her strengths, her heart. They know what she produces. They know what crosses work. They’ve studied her pedigree, her foals, her consistency.
And they’ve bred her with intention — not hype.
• They aren’t corporations.
• They aren’t trainers.
• They aren’t marketing machines.
• They aren’t sitting behind big-name banners and budgets.
• They’re ordinary people.
They are people who walk into a quiet barn long before the sun comes up. People who know every mare by the sound of her breath. People who sit on overturned buckets during foaling season, whispering prayers into the dark. People who hold a newborn foal in their arms and think, “Maybe… maybe this one will be special.”
And then they pour their whole heart into that “maybe.”
They study the crosses. They invest in the mares. They breed to the same top sires as the big barns — sometimes sacrificing more than anyone will ever know to make it happen.
And here’s the truth no one says out loud:
Where do you think the next great producing mares and stallions that become top sires come from? They don’t start in the spotlight. They start in the small barns. They start with the breeders who take the risks, who believe in their mares, who see potential long before the rest of the world catches on. Not every winner produces a winner. Not every “flavor of the year” sire stamps greatness.
But small breeders? They build their programs on heart, on mare power, on generations of quiet knowledge passed down through hands-on work — not hype.
And while the industry chases trends, small breeders keep showing up. They keep raising foals. They keep producing champions — often without ever getting the credit.
I can name 10+ small breeders who have produced World and Congress Champions. Champions born in humble barns. Champions raised by people who never asked for applause — just a fair chance.
So before you write that check …… Before you pay the commissions, the markups, the finder’s fees… Before you assume the “big boys” are the only ones who raise winners…
Look toward the small barns. Look toward the people who do this for love, not for glory. Look toward the breeders who keep this industry alive, one foal at a time.
• Small breeders matter
• Small breeders produce winners
• Small breeders deserve to be seen — and supported.
Not mine but I wanted to share!🤍

This one is by far my most difficult one to photograph. 😵‍💫 He's so chill & has not a single care in the world - I bore him with my antics trying to get his attention for the camera. 📸😂

I will say this guy has the best bone structure of any of the c**ts this year. He is SOLID & will make a really nice family prospect that could go multiple directions. ❤

Classicwatchquickson x LJSR Blue Bayou

Piper foaled a BIG, strapping bay stud c**t just before midnight on March 4th. He is dripping with chrome that includes 4 white socks and a big blaze.

Laredo will have all the structure & bone to make a really nice head horse some day & the disposition will make him the kind that anybody can get along with. He will be quiet & easy.

His pedigree includes Watch Joe Jack (2x), Poco Bueno, Harlan, Hayden Wano, The Flying Saint, Red Cedar Bark & Special Effort.

Laredo should mature to 14.3-15.0 hands & is Pitzer Ranch HPI eligible.

Sire is 6 panel NN, including IMM & dam is 5 panel NN, n/Gb.

Someone is shedding out dark chestnut like his daddy! 🥹🤤❤

We should probably retain this one for a stallion prospect since he's a grandson of PIW & considering foals by Tazz will be pretty limited (only frozen semen via AI) going forward, but we can't keep them all. Would love to see him go into a performance home! 🫶

Classicwatchquickson x BFR Whiskey Please

Poptart foaled a big, strapping sorrel c**t just before midnight on April 25th. Titan is marked perfectly with a big white star & maybe one or two hind partial coronets. He’s got all the frame & bone structure you can put on one & will be a true athlete in the arena or outside. I know he’s red, but this one will definitely make a stallion prospect for anyone in the market.

Titan could go any direction with pedigree lines including Watch Joe Jack (2x), Poco Bueno, Paddy’s Irish Whiskey, Peppy San Badger, Doc Bar (2x), Chic Please & High Brow Hickory.

He should mature to 14.3 hands & is 5 panel NN by parentage. Sire is 6 panel NN, dam is 5 panel NN, untested for IMM.

Titan is Pitzer Ranch HPI eligible.

Grace.
Presence.
And the LOOK! 👌💃

Colonels Smart Spook x Ima Jasmine Docbar

Star foaled the prettiest buckskin filly on the morning of February 16th! First time she’s thrown her cream gene for us & on President’s Day, no less. I think we better call this one ‘Liberty’. She’s got a perfect star in the middle of her forehead. No white socks noticeable at this time.

This one has versatility written ALL over her! Her sire has NRHA earnings in excess of $44k & his foals have also been known to crossover in the roping horse world. Her dam was an exceptional rope horse in her day as well. Liberty’s top side is loaded with reining champions & bottom side includes some old foundation performance lines with a shot of Sonny Dee Bar & Peponita.

Liberty should mature to 14.2 hands & is 5 panel NN by parentage. Sire is 6 panel NN including IMM & dam is 5 panel NN, n/P1.

Liberty is NRHA & NRBC eligible.

He's shedding out such a pretty caramel color! ❤

Classicwatchquickson x Watch Kool Kya

Kya foaled the CUTEST, solid dun stud c**t on March 7th while we were attending the Cinch Timed Event Championship at the Lazy E! He was born all legs & has the cutest little dished face.

This guy will have the best disposition you could ask for & will make a really nice one the entire family can enjoy or an excellent youth prospect. Cinch’s pedigree has Watch Joe Jack listed 4 times in his 5 generation pedigree. Lines also include Wyo Blue Bonnet, Lucky Roan King, Poco Bueno & Harlan. Solid foundation breeding at it’s finest.

Cinch should mature to 14.3-15.0 hands & is Pitzer Ranch HPI eligible!

Sire is 6 panel NN including IMM, dam is 4 panel NN, n/Hrd.
