After a veeeeery long and intense time of trying to find the right name for this guy I finally decided on one.
I wanted it to be special and really meaningful since he isn’t just another horse we adopted.
So, everyone officially meet Remedy - we call him Remmy 🖤
In the last few weeks he has become the most cuddly and attention seeking horse I have at the ranch at the moment. He went from trying to bite at your hand to leaning into you and falling asleep and all of this he did on his own time at his own terms. He taught me how to listen on a different level and I am beyond thankful that our paths crossed. He would’ve never been a horse I would’ve bid on but oh boy am I glad he’s mine now!

Little Miss Viseria had her first real farrier appointment today and she did absolutely amazing for all 4 of her feet!
Jes didn’t focus on making them pretty but getting some of that loooooong overgrown hoof off. A few more trims and she will have beautiful feet.
I can’t put in words how proud I am of this girl and how excited I am for her mom to meet her!
Thank you Jes for being the best farrier I could ask for and for taking your time and bringing alllll the patience with you!🩷🙏🏼

Echo 🧡
It took me a good while to come up with the fitting name for my pinto man but after playing around with a few Echo is what stuck with me. I think it fits him very well since he 100% gives back what he receives.
With that being said I have decided to take a step back and approach him and his gentling process the way I had originally planned, on his terms and timeline. I’m still super thankful for what has done for us!
So far he’s been doing very well, we’re back to hanging out and eating together. Today was actually the first time he let me pet his face without any training tools. I can’t wait to see what our journey brings!

The last few days have been very eventful here at the ranch.
After evaluating and thinking about it for a while I have decided to “rush” pinto man’s gentling due to some medical issues - nothing serious but something that has to be addressed sooner than later. I’m sure he would’ve come around eventually but things just lined up perfectly with coming down so she offered to do the first few sessions with him. He did surprisingly well, he didn’t blow up the way we thought he would and was very interested in participating.
We got as far as him letting us groom him and halter him but only from the right side so had to make a special right sided halter really quick - thank you for that my friend!
Over all we’re really happy with the two days of work he had and the progress he made, I can’t wait to pick up where Meg left but for today he gets to rest and process what he has learned the last two days. 🖤

The secret is out!

THANK YOU to whoever decided to pass on Sheik — you made me cry first thing on a Tuesday morning.
I really did not expect this to work out in any way, since his bids skyrocketed within the first few minutes of the auction. I couldn’t even put in a bid for a good 30 minutes because everything was frozen. But as soon as the page worked for me, I jumped in at $2,000. I really doubted I’d stood a chance — but on Tuesday morning, I got a second chance email, and I couldn’t believe my eyes.

Sheik is the sire of one of my fillies, and when I missed out on him during the Buy Now event, I was pretty bummed but it was ok since the pickup would’ve been 12+ hours away and that was kind of the only thing that kept me from being super duper sad about the whole situation. When he was listed on the IA, I couldn’t believe it and took it as a sign to try again - this time with a pickup 4hrs away!

Long story short, I’ll be picking him up at the Cullman, AL event in October, and he will have his forever home with me in MS. Hopefully, he and his filly, Shai, get to hang out sooner rather than later — but first, he has to learn about domestic life and become a good citizen!

I’ll be counting down the days until October 9th, because I absolutely cannot wait to meet him in person.🖤

Yesterday took an unexpected turn.

While and I intentionally won Hunk on the march IA I had a backup lined up. I never thought I’d end up winning him since he’s a buckskin roan paint but I did. I got him for a crazy cheap amount - how? Don’t ask me!

Fast forward, I had someone lined up to purchase him off me after I signed his paperwork (he is SA). These people backed out last minute so I was planning on passing on him at the event.

Well… Hunk didn’t come home alone.
When our eyes met I knew he’s getting on our trailer, I knew I had to give him a chance and see where things go.
Will he stay with me forever? I don’t know yet.
Did I need another project? Definitely not because some big things are happening soon in addition to all that’s happening already but I just couldn’t leave him. I tried finding something wrong with him, something that would make me say ok he’s staying here but I didn’t find anything. Everytime I spoke to him he gave me his whole attention, turned and faced me.
We will see how and where our journey will go, hopefully it’ll be a good one but if not we’ll figure it out.
We booped nose and hands a few times but he’s going to need a good bit of settling in.
Both of the boys loaded and unloaded fantastic.

Taking apart a 40 panel setup and re-arrange it while it was a billion degrees outside was just a little piece of what was going on behind the scenes!!!

While I love this boy and love having him around I have decided to start looking for a new home for him a few weeks ago. Things fell into place really fast and I ended up finding the absolute perfect place for him.
He was the perfect babysitter for Boozer and never ever took a wrong step but he was just not my horse, we sadly never connected the way I did with the others. Which is totally fine!
He’s not leaving before Joker comes back home, which is very soon!

His new home will be on 60 Acres with a girl who can’t wait to meet him, love him and paper him. She’s planning on taking him on trail rides and fun rides around her farm.
He won’t be too far away so I’m for sure going to visit him after he settled in! 🖤
