One of our cat fosters found a dog and couldn’t say no; so, meet Charlie!
Charlie is a 2 year old shepherd mix with the sweetest soul you could imagine. His New Mexico fosters first met him when he was found dumped at a park happily playing with children—an early sign of the gentle, loving dog he is.
Charlie has that wonderful young-dog energy and playful spirit, but what matters most to him is feeling safe and loved. He’s the kind of dog who will quietly rest his head on your knee while you watch TV, or wander over just for a reassuring pat on the head, as if to check that all is well in his world.
He’s fully house-trained and does great with routine. At night, he happily sleeps in his crate beside his people’s bed, content just knowing he’s close. While he still has plenty of puppy moments, one look into his thoughtful eyes reveals an old soul who’s deeply tuned in to the people he loves.
Charlie would thrive in a home where he can get both affection and activity—and in return, he’ll give endless loyalty, gentle companionship, and a heart full of love.
