We have a 15 month old Aussie mountain doodle named Oakley. She is all sorts of fun! She absolutely loves being outside. When she’s inside she’s always watching the birds, squirrels, chipmunsks etc out the window when she’s not resting or cuddling. She’s exercised, has toys, another dog at home, but when she’s outside she loves to dig. And dig and dig. Any suggestions on how to stop this. She is starting to really do a number on the yard. She has plenty of play time and engagement, I think she just really enjoys it. I would love to let her round around in our fenced in yard for longer periods. (Even 20 min at a time) but she will just dig. She doesn’t chew shoes or furniture or other things In the house. She just thinks digging is so fun. Would greatly appreciate any suggestions to help her learn not to do this so she can enjoy other things outside like chasing her nature friends.

Guardian Home Opportunity! I literally can not stop looking at how cute this little lady is! Miss Pink is from my Java and Knox litter and is expected to mature to around 15lbs. She did very well with her temperament testing. She loves the cuddles and has a little prance in her walk. Our trainer, tried to put her in her pocket to leave with her today! šŸ˜‚ She is just too cute! To be a guardian you must:
-love within 45 min of Troutman, NC
-have dog experience
-schedule obedience trainer
-willingness to be a partner in our program
If this sounds like you, please message me for details. This is NOT a free dog. So please understand this is a relationship between you and Tarheel Labradoodles. Miss Pink will be ready right after Christmas. Please email ([email protected]) or message me for more details. (412-556-5908)

Today, I made a terrible decision.
Or maybe a really beautiful one.
It’s hard to tell when you share your life with a strong, muscular Golden doodle named Zoey, whose body is pure strong but whose eyes hold the soft, trusting innocence of a child 🐶

After surviving the vet’s office (she was nervous, I was stressed, the vet was unfazed), I decided she deserved a reward.
A good toy.
A proper toy.

A sensible person would’ve ordered online.
But I’m a H
Golden Doodle parent.
We don’t overthink—we follow our hearts.

So Zoey and I walked into the pet store.

The moment we entered, she took it all in—calm but alert.
That classic Golden Doodle balance: confident, curious, and deeply sensitive underneath.
The smells, the sounds, the movement—everything registered at once.

When we reached the toy aisle, Zoey stopped.
Studied her options.
Then carefully chose a rubber toy and looked at me like she’d made a serious life decision.
This one. 🦓

Just then, a small dog passed by.
A quick bark.

Zoey froze for a second.
Not because she’s weak—but because he knows she’s strong.
And she’s gentle with that strength.

I tightened the leash.
She looked back at me.
Trusted me.

We made it to checkout without chaos.
The cashier smiled as Zoey stood quietly beside me—exactly how a well-raised Golden doodle behaves.

And then…
One slow drop of drool landed on the counter. šŸ’§
I went silent.

The cashier laughed.
ā€œDon’t worry,ā€ she said. ā€œ Golden doodles are like that—sweet, emotional, and a little messy.ā€

Back in the car, Zoey curled up with her new toy, relaxed instantly, and looked at me with eyes full of trust and love ā¤ļø

Yes, I was a little embarrassed.
Yes, the trip was dramatic.

But this dog?
She isn’t just strong.
She’s loyal, sensitive, and overflowing with unconditional love.

And that makes every bit of it worth it 🐾

Yesterday (December 11, 2025) my wife & I went to the shelter to meet a beautiful Goldendoodle girl we’d been waiting to adopt.
But the moment we arrived, we found her curled up tightly with her brother — their skin touching each other , like two souls holding onto the only comfort they had left.

The volunteer gave a gentle, almost apologetic smile and said,
ā€œHe’s been overlooked for a long time… people usually pass him by because he's brownish white ā€

My wife looked at me, I looked at her, and that was it.
No hesitation. No second thoughts.
Just heart.

ā€œThen we’ll take them both,ā€ I said — and it felt like the universe exhaled.

Two pups who thought no one wanted them suddenly had a family.
Our car may be small, but somehow it carried more love than we knew we had room for.

Welcome home, Nova & Koda — two Golden doodles, one unbreakable bond, and a lifetime of love ahead. ā¤ļøšŸ¾

I found them outside—two little Goldendoolde pups curled up behind a dumpster, shivering in the frozen morning air. ā„ļø
The day was gray and silent. They were huddled together so tightly it felt like they were one body, one heartbeat. The older one sheltered the smaller—protecting him from the cold, from fear, from the harshness of the world.

They were hungry, dirty, and painfully thin. But their eyes… their eyes said everything—fear, exhaustion, and that fragile spark whispering, ā€œWe still want to live.ā€ šŸ’”šŸ¾

I approached slowly. The older Goldendoodle lifted his head—alert but astonishingly gentle. The little one hid his face in the other’s fur. I reached out my hand… and then came that precious moment when fear slowly softened into trust.

They didn’t resist when I picked them up. Even in the car they stayed pressed together—like letting go meant losing everything.
The vet later confirmed what I feared: malnutrition, parasites, old wounds—signs they had been wandering together for a long time.

But today…
Today they sleep on a warm bed in my home, curled up just like in this picture. šŸ¶šŸ¤ŽšŸ¶
Sometimes their breathing settles into the same rhythm—as if they’re dreaming the same dream. Maybe of those hard days, and the promise they made to never leave each other behind.

People often misunderstand them—thinking Goldendoodles are only strong, fierce, or aggressive.
But the truth is— Goldendoodles have some of the softest hearts in the world.
Give them a little kindness, and they return it with their whole soul.
When I come home, they run to me with wagging tails and bright eyes—like I’ve given them the entire world.

If you ever see a scared, lonely, hungry animal outside—don’t wait.
A little kindness, a little time, can change an entire life.

I don’t know how long they wandered before they found me.
But now they lack nothing—full bowls, warm blankets, a safe home… and each other.

They didn’t just survive—
they triumphed, side by side.
The older one still protects the younger, just like before.
And every night, when I see them sleeping like this, I think—

If humans loved as unconditionally as Goldendoodles do, the world would be a far more beautiful place. šŸŒ™āœØ

They were never supposed to meet 🐾. One was a battle-scarred Golden doodle, rescued from a backyard where the chain around his neck had rusted into his fur ā›“ļøšŸ’”. The other, a scruffy Pitbull, had been found shivering in an abandoned shed, her fur so matted she could barely move 😢.

The shelter staff never planned to house them together—two different breeds, two different pasts, both carrying trust issues a mile wide šŸ’”āž”ļøā¤ļø. But the kennels were full, and sometimes fate hides in those ā€œwe have no choiceā€ moments ✨.

At first, they kept their distance. The Pitbull paced restlessly, his gaze sharp and hardened by the pain of his past. The Goldendoodle curled up in a corner, avoiding eye contact. Then, on the third night, staff walked in to find them lying side by side, as if they had been holding the darkness off together.

From that day on, they were inseparable šŸ’ž. He (the Pitbull) shielded her from loud noises, and she coaxed him into chasing a torn tennis ball. On walks, they moved in perfect sync—her gentle bounce blending beautifully with his strong, confident stride 🐾.

When the rescue posted their photo šŸ“ø, the caption held only four words: ā€œAdopt us together, please.ā€ Applications poured in, and now in their forever home šŸ”, they start every morning the same way—shoulder to shoulder, matching silver collars, watching the world like a team that will never break again.

Because they won’t. Not this time. Not together.

BELLA…RETURNED FOR LOVING TOO MUCH.
Yes, you read that right.

This sweet, doodle didn’t lose her home because she misbehaved, destroyed furniture, or caused chaos. She lost it because she wanted love — the simple comfort of curling up close to her person at night. Her heart was ā€œtoo big,ā€ her need for connection ā€œtoo much.ā€

Now she lies on her blanket just like this… curled into a tight little ball, eyes soft and uncertain, wondering what she did wrong. She flinches at sudden sounds, lifts her head only for a moment when someone walks by, then sinks back into her blanket as if trying to disappear.

All she ever wanted was to feel safe. To rest her head beside someone she trusted. To love with her whole heart — the way doodles do.

Bella is two years old, gentle, affectionate, and loyal to her core. She didn’t get returned because of behavior issues or pet conflicts. She got returned because she loved too deeply… because she simply wanted to be close.

She deserves better.
She deserves a home where closeness is a comfort, not a flaw.
Where a warm body tucked against you at night is a blessing, not a burden.
Where her soft eyes and quiet snuggles are met with open arms, not rejection.

Bella is waiting for someone who understands that affection isn’t ā€œtoo muchā€ — it’s what makes a dog family. And this girl has so much love left to give. šŸ–¤
