Hill Valley Stables We are a small family run eventing barn located in the mountains of Perry County. We offer english lessons in dressage, jumping, and cross country.

Training is also offered for a reasonable fee. Boarding is currently full but if you are interested please call to be put on our growing waiting list!

Many thanks to Boo Lunger for coming out and doing a mini clinic on in-hand topline building. Our place is hilly, so winter riding is not always possible. Now the kids have more tools to utilize when it's just not possible to ride.
Whiskey and Ivy spent time just getting to know each other and work on respect. I could see her confidence grow throughout the lesson!
Evelyn and Dusty worked on respect as well. This old man is smart and knows who he can push around but Evelyn handled him well!
Farryn and King worked on getting more energy out of him. He is the laziest ottb I have ever met. Lol. He ended his lesson with a massage from Erin, his new favorite person 🤣

Some of you may remember the big, skinny ottb I rescued years ago. Strategic Move aka Mojo has finally found his forever home. It took a while to convince his new owner he was her perfect match but I'm pretty sure she believes me now 😂. Mojo is almost 17 hh and Erin is under 5ft so she thought I was nuts when I suggested it. I'm still not sure how she tacks him up but they are definitely enjoying the trails! Lol. With her care he is fat, sound, and happy and that makes me happy. This boy had a very long racing career and deserves the best!

Let's get to know the HVS residents! First up is Chance. He is now 3 yo and came here as a rescue at just a few months old. He is a unique dude because he has survived even though his entire soft palate is missing. He is owned by my daughter Farryn who takes impeccable care of him and adores him.
