✨Immediate Opening - Working Student/Groom — Wellington, FL | Fall/Winter ✨
Due to unforeseen circumstances we are in immediate need for a working student/groom position as our lovely student isn’t able to join us this year.
JLP Farms is looking for a working student/groom to join us this fall/winter starting Nov 1st or sooner, with the potential for a long-term position for the right person.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, independent, self started and most importantly, eager to learn and be flexible. We are a very hands-on program and want someone who is interested in being involved and learning all aspects of the horses’ care and training.
Responsibilities would include:
• Basic barn chores and daily horse care
• Setting jumps
• Taking horses to and from the show ring
• Tacking and Untacking Horses
• Potential riding opportunities depending on experience
This would be a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a professional hunter/jumper program while learning and being involved in all aspects of the horses’ care and training.
Unfortunately, housing is not available at this time, but we are working on it and we are happy to assist in finding a place to stay.
