Good morning dressage lovers and students! I have a working student and intern position opening in the upcoming future. There are a number of different opportunities available depending on your interests. Want to spend a winter in Florida? Got that. Interested in young horses, barn management, nutrition, health and vet care, riding lessons, training, competition and the equine industry? Your riding level is not important but your attitude, love for horses, ability to be a good team player and desire to grow in this industry is. I am adding 1-2 positions for Ruth Hogan-Poulsen Dressage LLC in Florida this winter. We have housing and stall available for the right person. We have a great group of gals that have been through this program and have gone on to great things in the horse industry. Please email me with questions. [email protected]. In my experience, everyone needs something different, so programs are developed on an individual basis. You may call me after we have communicated by email 561-346-4859 [email protected] :))

Two great days of teaching my great jumper riders at the beautiful Finnway Farm in Middleburg VA with IB Stable and David Matise and their great students! Ok. It was HOT yesterday and then some epic storms- today beautiful and all horses and riders came out looking straighter, forward and more supple than yesterday ! I love applying my dressage tools to help the jumpers have better balance and ridability on their courses. Great job everyone!

Another beautiful and productive show at Green Mountain Horse Association this weekend! I’m so proud of the goals met and the personal challenges that every horse and rider comes to the table with! Nancy Grout is aiming for her Masters Challenge at 2nd level- way to go! Only one more score left now! Susan Norman’s Leon - was beautifully piloted around by Emilie Goddard for his first show with us - with his new body and brain! Boy did he have his “game face “ on- as Emilie said. Winning his first class and High Point Third level Champion on Friday with at 70%+! Amazing transition! Teresa Ensenat s Insider aka Truman- was second in his 4th level class. He is now looking forward to his mom arriving from KY tomorrow to spend the summer with him! Again- supportive and confidence building riding by Emilie! And Toni Egger- congratulations! Moving up to 3/3 and having the best show and scores yet! So proud and happy for you! Not to mention that we ate like queens and had a great weekend with friends. And of course GMHA show couldn’t be the same without Patti Kuzmickas and Mystic and Me and Camelot Makes Three ! Finley was selected to ride with Allison Brock this next week at Hilltop Farm. I’m so proud of them! So they came for a last tune up before their trip! Thanks to my team at home - again- who makes it possible for us to be away:) Sarah Bradbury and Evelyn Simon - Caeli White- Sarah Cleland- Emma Hartzler - and others! Like Bo!
Thanks everyone!

Well what a week it was! “Spring Adult Dressage camp” @ East Hill Farm! We had so much fun and education and laughing. I’m always amazed but his year especially- with the women who come for the week. So dedicated and open and supportive of everyone. These gals all have worked so hard to get where they are- both professionally in their non horsey lives- and in the equestrian world. Lawyers- pediatricians- school teachers- professors- moms- wives- care takers- entrepreneurs- wow! I feel honored and humble that they put all their things aside to come for the week and join each other to submerse themselves into dressage and horsemanship ❤️ of course lessons and mini clinics and everything videoed for watching this ahh a moments again- but also the questions- wine and cheese and dinner where one conversation is better than the next. I learned so much about all of them! Inspiring! Sadly I did not take so many pictures thru the week- I got so wrapped up in the lessons and teaching! Thank you all and also to my unbelievable staff. We also put our everyday activities on hold (rearranged more like it) to welcome these gals- and a beat was not missed. Thanks again.

After 8 years in the making (about 6.5 of which were mostly spent NOT making), I finally finished my book! I did quite a bit of prep work for this – including choosing reference photos and doing tons of research on self-publishing – back in 2017, but then the project sat dormant for a while. [.....
