🐾 Luna is putting in the WORK! 💪🔥

Today we hit Home Depot to proof all of her known behaviors in a busy, distraction-filled environment.

One of Luna’s biggest challenges has been her natural flight response when faced with stressors. Through consistent training, confidence building, and clear communication, she’s learning that she doesn’t have to run from discomfort. Instead, she can stay engaged, think through the pressure, and make good decisions.

The goal isn’t to eliminate stress. It’s to teach her how to navigate it.

Luna has come a LONG way, and it’s awesome watching her confidence grow with every session! 👏🐕

🐾 Real-World Training with Kaia! 💪

Today, Kaia took a field trip to Tractor Supply to put all her known behaviors to the test in a real-world environment!

Training doesn’t stop when we leave the facility. New sights, sounds, smells, people, and distractions create the perfect opportunity to proof behaviors and reinforce expectations.

The goal isn’t just obedience in a controlled environment. It’s reliable, consistent obedience ANYWHERE.

Different environment. Same expectations. No excuses. 🎯

Kaia is learning that her choices control the pressure! 🐾⚡

We’re now introducing low-level e-collar stimulation as negative reinforcement for behaviors she already knows.

The concept is simple: Kaia learns that responding to a known command turns off the stimulation. Through clear communication, consistency, and precise timing, we’re building a stronger understanding of how her actions influence the outcome.

We’re not teaching new behaviors. We’re reinforcing the ones she already understands.

The goal? A dog that understands the communication, responds confidently, and works toward greater reliability and freedom.

🐾 LUNA | The Doberman Attitude 🐾

Not all dogs are created equal… and Dobermans definitely come with their own set of opinions! 😂

Some days Luna shows up ready to work, eager to learn, and happy to be a team player. Other days, she looks at me like, “Make me. I dare you.” 😈

Training isn’t always a straight line, especially with a strong-willed, intelligent dog like Luna. It’s about understanding the dog in front of you, adapting your approach, and finding what works.

Now that we’ve started incorporating the e-collar into her established behaviors, we’re seeing some great progress in communication, consistency, and accountability.

Different dogs. Different challenges. Same goal. Building a reliable, confident, and well-balanced dog. 💪🐕

Meet Kaia 🐾💪

Kaia is a 6-month-old Cane Corso who just wrapped up her first week of training!

This week was all about building the foundation — charging the marker, developing engagement, and using luring to introduce and shape new behaviors. No rushing the process. Clear communication first, then we build from there.

Kaia is confident, eager to learn, and an absolute blast to work with. She’s got a ton of personality, and we’re excited to see what this girl can do over the coming weeks!
