We need your help. When it rains it pours as the proverb goes.
Today should have been a joyous day at Tiny Bubbles, a lovely horse owner from Dade City was on her way with a trailer ( a 3+ hour trek) to adopt Ray Ray.
This morning I picked him up the foster home and found him in great distress. It looks like he had a full blown laminitis episode. I bought him to Tiny Bubbles and got some banamine in him and got him on ice. For comfort, he's doing much better but he will need X-rays, veterinary care, additional meds and specialized hoof care this week. To make matters worse, the TheraPlate which offers a lot of relief in these situations is suddenly not working and will probably need to be shipped back to Texas.
In addition, the Tiny Bubbles website was hacked and so we had to close the bank account and the Venmo account. We could seriously benefit from donations for Ray Ray's recovery, but any donations have to be made by Zelle to 561-290-9668 and will be managed for his care. Any help will be greatly appreciated, we hope to have the website back up in next 8 weeks.
Running a rescue has its rewards, but days like these where the worry and stress are compiled -are always a challenge. Thanks to all who have supported our efforts over the years and if you can find it in your heart to help Ray Ray, it will be greatly appreciated.
Also I am having a shoulder procedure tomorrow so if any of you are itching to to volunteer, please reach out. Thanks Johnny Robb Director.
