As I get ready to close this chapter of my life here on Whidbey Island, I just want to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the years, trusted me with your pets, and made this journey so meaningful. Thank you to this island for being my home for so long. I truly couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful place to grow, work, and build connections.
A special thank you as well to the dedicated people who care for our dog parks and dog beaches. Because of you, I’ve been able to give so many dogs the joy of running free, playing, and just being dogs in safe, clean spaces. Those moments mean more than I can put into words.
To all the dogs I’ve had the privilege of working with, you have left a lasting mark on my heart. To my weekly dogs… you’ve become part of my pack, part of my routine, and part of my life in a way that’s incredibly hard to let go of. Things won’t be the same without you, and that’s what makes this so bittersweet.
While I’m deeply sad to be leaving, I’m also so excited for this next chapter in Oregon and everything it will bring. Change is never easy, especially when you love something as much as I’ve loved this.
I have exactly one month left here on Whidbey, and all services will officially end May 1st. Until then, I plan to soak up everything this island has to offer and cherish every last moment with the dogs and people who have meant so much to me.
Thank you all, truly, from the bottom of my heart 🤍
