Coton's come from the small island country of Madagascar and they are rare around the world because of their history and evolution, which is a natural evolution. A pack of 11 coyotes was no match for a Great Pyrenees dog named Casper who protected his sheep last month in Decatur, Georgia.

I write this with a heavy heart, but my beloved Windy passed away today. She had to go back in for another surgery, and they found that she had developed a leak. The leak caused the intestines to clump together and bond. Her quality of life, if she survived, would have been severely limited and possibly in pain. So I had to make the painful decision to have her put to sleep.

She had an incredible 11 years of life, and I am glad to share those with her. She loved to get her belly scratched, and she would come up and lay down and wave her paws towards her stomach to get you to rub it, and if you stopped, she would keep doing it until she had enough. She loved car rides, licking toes, many, many treats. She always stuck up when Annie got a little territorial; she was one of the best.

I'll miss my little foot warmer.

I'll miss her terribly.

I'll see you on the other side of the bridge, my little Windy.
