They made it just in time 🤍

What a special delivery — arriving right before Christmas — and what a beautiful gift these two girls will be for their new family. Fiona and Peppermint stepped into their new home together, exactly as it was meant to be, bringing with them a little extra magic for the holidays.

There’s something incredibly special about welcoming new lives into your home at Christmas, and these two will fill it with joy, laughter, and so much love. We couldn’t have asked for a better ending — or beginning — for them.

Today was a bittersweet day here at ROAR.
We said goodbye to two very special donkeys—Fiona and Peppermint Patty, mother and daughter.

Fiona was a BLM b***o who trusted no one… until she did. Against every odd, she opened her heart just enough to raise her baby, and in doing so, she gave the world Peppermint Patty—a soul so rare it’s hard to put into words. Peppermint has never known fear, never known harm, and somehow carries a kindness that draws everyone in. She’s everyone’s best friend.

Today, they moved on to their next chapter together. A wonderful home where they will be cherished, spoiled, and given everything they deserve for the rest of their lives. When this family reached out, we knew instantly—these two were the perfect match.

While goodbyes are never easy, this is the kind of goodbye we work for. The kind filled with hope, love, and promise. We are so excited to watch Fiona and Peppermint bring joy to their new family, and we can’t wait for the updates that will remind us we did our job right.

Tears of joy today my sweet girls. You are so loved—always. 🤍

Hay is our biggest year-round expense, but it’s also the heartbeat of our rescue. When the herd eats well, they heal well.
