Fun Fact Friday! 📚🐴

Horses may be BIG, but their stomachs are surprisingly small! A 1,000 lb horse only has a stomach capacity of about 2–4 gallons. Because of this, horses are naturally designed to graze and eat small amounts throughout the day. 🌱

In the wild, horses can spend up to 70% of their day eating! Since many domesticated horses don’t have this option, feeding smaller meals more often is the next best thing. Research shows that 3–5 meals a day support healthy digestion and may help to reduce the risk of ulcers, colic, and unwanted behaviors.

At NRE, we’re proud to offer 4 feedings a day in an effort to keep our horses healthy, happy, and feeling their best! 🐎

Next up in our Meet the Herd series 🐴✨ is the one and only Peace — 100% certified cutie pie!

Despite what his name might suggest, he is often a bringer of things NOT so peaceful. 🤦‍♀️ His silly antics range from waging tug-of-war with his bell boots in turnout to dramatically tossing his grain bin out the stall window the moment he finishes eating.

This lovable goofball may just be the most “dog-like” horse you’ll ever meet, with a BIG personality and an even bigger heart. Peace has never met a stranger and excels in making friends and putting a smile on the face of every barn-goer who comes through. But if you really want to win him over, snacks are the way to his heart — especially of the orange variety… 🥕

Everyone say hi to Roo!

A few fun things about Roo:
💖 She’s known for her silly antics—like trying to lick you like a dog…
💖 She’s a bit of a “baddie” with lots of opinions, but she's also super sweet!
💖 Her big ears are her signature.
💖 And the best part… she’s a little girl’s very first horse. 🫶🏻

We love you sweet girl!

Spring cleaning has begun at NRE and it starts with our donkey friends! 🧼🫧

Piglet and Goose got much needed baths —Piglet embraced the spa day, Goose… not so much.

There may have been some dramatic side-eyes, a few impressive escape attempts, and some “talking back”, but in the end we’ve got two fresh, very fluffy donkeys to show for it! ✨

Meet the Herd! 🐴✨

Say hello to Cyrus!

Equal parts sweet and mischievous, he keeps us on our toes — but saves his gentle side for his littlest riders.

His love language? Goldfish 🐟😋 And with his birthday around the corner, he’s definitely expecting a few extra! 🎉

Meet the Herd! 🐴

Say hello to Prince and Wally—two brothers soaking up the sweetest retired life at NRE. 💛

Wally, a former dressage schoolmaster and graceful dancer, now enjoys the slower lane—eagerly accepting pats, snacks, and all the pampering he can get. His big, charming smile has a way of winning over everyone he meets.

Prince is clever, versatile, and endlessly dependable. Once a trusted partner under saddle, these days he’s all about long walks, liberty play, and even a little soccer fun.

We love having them in our barn! 🐎✨

Fun Fact Friday! 📚

Did you know the Noble Reins property was once owned by the Walt Disney family? It’s true! In fact, you can spot hidden Mickey Mouse ears all around the property if you know where to look.

With its Disney charm, we like to think the farm might just be the “happiest place on earth.” 🐴✨

Meet the Herd! 🐴

Introducing Sir William Dante, lovingly known as “Sir.” 👑

The very first horse to join the von Keyserling family — and the beloved patriarch of the farm.

A trusted lesson horse and gentle teacher, he’s guided countless “littles” with kindness, grace, and that signature Sir steadiness. Now enjoying a well-deserved retirement, he spends his days soaking up extra love and sunshine. ☀️💕
