Meet our tripod sweetheart : Momma Bell ~ 2 year old female, $150

If you are looking for a companion tripod cat who would love nothing more than to be by your side, hanging out, and snuggling close to you, Momma Bell is THE woman for you. This perfect angel of a gal is a calm, SWEETHEART who SOAKS UP the loves. She goes CRAAAAAAAZY for face scritches, not quite sure what to do with herself while they occur. Momma B contorts her cute little body and face, trying to get ALL the scritches and knocks herself off balance.

Like many fascinating people, her past is a bit of a mystery. Coming from Louisana, she was likely dumped because she showed up suddenly, and was SO friendly! A year later, she disappeared for 4-5 days and when she returned, she had a severely broken leg and made her way to CO to get her the help she neeeded. Her amputation recovery was a bit rough but now, she’s cleared, healthy, and ready for enjoy the life of a cherished house cat who has servants catering to her every whim. Momma B is still building muscle in her remaining back leg and gets around purrfectly fine, but her favorite thing to do is loaf. She can’t jump high places, so soft bedding in lower places is the way to go for this queen. Her days consist of loafing on one side, rotate, repeat. She hasn’t shown any interest in playing with toys, but that might come with time. Momma B does NOT like to be picked up - she gets really nervous. However, she comes up to you and rubs her sweet face all over, trying to get the face scritches.

She’s a pretty quiet gal who hasn’t said a word yet but I bet she’ll trust you with her secrets in time. Come meet Momma B - you’ll never feel lonely again.

There are currently more than 200 cats in our care. Forty of them have ringworm.

Let’s talk about the thing everyone seems to panic over.
Ringworm is completely treatable. It’s also expensive, incredibly time-consuming, and requires a minimum of six weeks of treatment.

Six weeks of medications.
Six weeks of cleaning.
Six weeks of laundry.
Six weeks of isolation protocols.
Six weeks of supplies, food, and daily care.

And while we’re dedicating those resources to treating 40 cats, we’re also slowing down our ability to bring in new cats, get them healthy, and prepare them for adoption.

Every rescuer and transporter who works with us has heard the same thing more times than they can count:
Please don’t send ringworm kittens. We don’t have any more isolation space.

On our last transport, four kittens arrived with ringworm anyway. At that point, our isolation rooms were already full.

When we reached out and asked if they could be taken back for treatment, we were told to euthanize them.
Instead, we made room.

Because that’s what we do. Every. Single. Time.
These cats didn’t do anything wrong. Ringworm isn’t a death sentence, and they don’t deserve to lose their lives over a fungus that’s completely treatable.

So we’ll keep saying yes.
We’ll keep making room.
We’ll keep treating them.

But we need your help.

The cost of treatment, supplies, food, medications, and everything that comes with an extended stay for 40 cats is about $2,000.

If you’re able to donate, you’ll help us care for these 40 cats — and help make sure we can still say yes to the next 40.

(Although, if the universe is listening, we’d really appreciate it if they didn’t all show up at once.)

Will you help? https://www.cokittycoalition.com/donate

Jinx — a striking black cat with a big personality, strong opinions, and a love for human attention on his own terms.

Jinx is social, curious, and loves being involved in whatever his people are doing. He’s the type to greet you at the door, demand attention, and happily rub up against you for affection. He enjoys companionship and likes having people nearby, but he also values his space and can become overstimulated quickly.

While he is SUCH a sweetheart, Jinx bites..hard.. with little or no warning. He might snag an innocent leg just walking by. We are trying to find Jinx a safe barn, shop, or similar environment without kids or elderly where he can live his life with experienced caretakers who understand cats with strong boundaries. His triggers can be unpredictable, but we don’t believe it should be a death sentence. He is SO over sitting in a kennel, but finding him a home or even foster has been unsuccessful.

Jinx would thrive in a setting where he can have structure, routine, and human interaction without the expectations of being a traditional house cat.

Jinx is looking for someone patient, experienced, and compassionate — the kind of person who understands that some cats simply need a different kind of home to feel secure and succeed. Beneath his quirks is a cat who still wants connection, consistency, and a place to belong.

While he may not be the cat for everyone, Jinx has the potential to be an incredibly rewarding companion for the right person.
