Groomers LOVE your dog!
We get excited to see them. Excited they let us do “the thing” they didn’t like last time. Excited when we give them their first “big boy” haircut. We are excited to build trust and get kisses. Groomers worry about your dog. We worry about every tug on the skin when removing mats. We worry when they get startled. Worried when we find a new lump or we notice they are getting tired. We worry if they got a walk before the groom and if they were brushed enough at home.

What is the Nagayu Co2 Treatment?
Originally developed in Japan, the Nagayu Skin Therapy System consists of a compressed tablet of carbon dioxide, hydrogen, and bicarbonate which is then inserted into a specialized shower head designed to deliver the treatment directly onto the pet’s skin. The tablet also contains a special moisturizing supplement.

How does it work?
The tablet is inserted into a specialized shower head designed to deliver the treatment directly onto the pet’s skin akin to a gentle massage. As the tablet dissolves, it generates millions of carbonic acid and hydrogen ions which the skin readily absorbs. Upon absorption the pet’s body synthesizes and releases nitric oxide into the inner lining of the blood vessels. This results in an increase of blood circulation and oxygen absorption throughout the body. Cells receive more nutrients and oxygen resulting in boosting metabolism and speeding up the healing process. This treatment also assists in maintaining proper pH levels in the blood and skin.

The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China.
Their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell.
Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes.
They regularly cause intestinal blockages and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.
