Are you tired of grooming in a big box store where you are expected to work nights, holidays, answer phones, check clients in and out, bathe your dogs and work the floor? Are you working in an environment that is stagnant, not providing you opportunity to grow your knowledge and hone your skills? What if you could groom in a well-appointed salon where the emphasis is on quality and not quantity, where you could focus on your craft in a friendly environment?
Enjoy grooming at A Fortunate Dog Spa where you will have a set schedule, no evenings, weekends or holidays and our spa techs handle the bathing and drying of our furry guests. No more answering the phone, or booking appointments. Your focus will be on grooming and styling to perfection the six to eight pets scheduled for you each day.
About Us:
A Fortunate Dog Spa is owned by an Award Winning Certified Master Groomer with 50 years of professional experience. We take great pride in our FIVE STAR client ratings on Facebook, Yelp, and Google.
We are a well established salon, with 1000’s of lifetime clients that pre-book appointments, meaning our schedule is always filled. You will always have fabulous, repeat fur babies to groom… no standing around waiting. We stay BUSY! And at this time not accepting new clients and booked solid through April of 2026!
Each stylist’s station is equipped with a PetLift Electric Table and Groomers Helper, and other smaller tools. All supplies are furnished… and sharpening is paid. And our team approach allows for assistance with dogs requiring a second set of hands.
We strive to create a respectful, rewarding and friendly environment for our team as well as a consistent kind, enjoyable and compassionate experience for our clients and their pets.
The Position:
The Spa is looking for an experienced Professional Pet Stylist / Dog Groomer, with a minimum of two years of grooming experience, with good pet handling, clipper and scissor skills. Applicants must possess a high work ethic, genuine love and compassion for animals, a heart for learning and a strong sense of TEAMWORK.
● Position is commissioned employee status, plus tips
● Monday through Friday, no evenings, holidays or weekends ● One “Mental Health Monday” closure per month ● Beautiful, organized salon environment where clients pre-book a year of appointments ● Paid sharpening

A Fortunate Dog Spa is located in Landen, Ohio, very convenient to Mason, Maineville, Loveland, Liberty Township and Montgomery. We are a grooming services destination for clients that expect their most precious fur babies to be well cared for, and appreciate an outstanding customer service experience.
