STREET OUTREACH: We hand-deliver pet food, supplies and provide veterinary assistance to the houseless with companion animals. We work with caseworkers that are helping the houseless with pets transition to homes to make sure they receive the pet food and assistance that they need to keep their pets healthy and happy during their transition period.

Recently, PG&Js Dog Park Bar on Baxter Avenue in the Highlands, hosted a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for My Dog Eats First. We had a great turnout, ate lots of delicious pasta ( thanks Shelby) and met lots of cute dogs. A big thanks to Gina, Shelby Katie and all those that helped put this fun event together. A great place to hang out with other dog lovers!

Big thank you (oce again) to the Trinity High School Key Club for helping bag dog food for the pets of Louisville's houseless population. Thank you to Barry Steiger for arranging the event, Trinity Faculty/Administrators Michael Budniak and Chris Luken for the invitation and My Dog Eats First Board Members Angel Sivado and Will West for transporting food.
Side note- several students of this group recently participated in attending the burial of a houseless man who died alone. The Key Club and Owen Funeral Home in Jeffersontown make sure that those who die alone have a proper burial attended by people who care.

Come out to the West Wing of the Fair and Exposition Center and stop by and say "hello" at the My Dog Eats First table. We are there spreading the word about our mission and taking donations to help feed the pets of the houseless and underserved. We also want to meet new people interested in volunteering for our organization. Hope to see you there!
We will be set up through Sunday afternoon.

Kentuckiana Cluster of Dog Shows
Friday Ringsides

Images are going live now with around 1,000 images loading in. Some housekeeping/reminders before we get into it...

- There is a coupon code! I've noticed people haven't been using it so this is your reminder to peep the coupon code under the cover image of the album. This will save you on multiples. ALSO be sure to look at packages if you have a whole lot of photos. Save that money where you can, things are expensive enough!

- I am a one woman operation this week and I have over 50 requests. Unfortunately, this means I simply will not be able to fit in every breed request. My priority is falling firstly to breeds I have the most requests for and working in what I can around those.

- There is one album for the entire event. Each breed gets their own set and they are in alphabetical order. Any groups will be at the end of the breed sets and sorted accordingly.

Breeds covered today include...

Bernese Mountain Dog
Bouvier Des Flandres
Canaan Dog
Cane Corso
Dachshund (Specialty - all coats and JRs)
German Shorthaired Pointer
German Wirehaired Pointer
Papillion
Russian Toy
Samoyed
Weimaraner
Wirehaired Vizsla

It takes a village and great community organizations like Jacob's Generation to partner with to get pet food and supplies out to Louisville's houseless population. It was a rough winter and Angela Monin Tamura and her volunteers were out several times a week making sure those living out in the elements had sterno, blankets and a hot bite to eat.

Puppy love on Valentine's Day. There's nothing better! Our friend Dairyk and his beautiful puppy found love after Dairyk's longtime pal Deuce, passed late last year. We are believers that there is nothing random when a new dog finds its way to you after going thru one of the most painful times of your life. We are convinced Deuce had a paw in this new love story.
