UPDATE. HAS FOSTER

We are in Estill County, KY. We found a “bagle” on Christmas Day at a dangerous spot where they’re completing bridge work between Estill and Madison. We have posted him multiple times and in various groups on FB with no luck of an owner or anyone that he may look familiar to in the area. However, we are unable to keep him permanently. Wednesday afternoon is the latest we can keep him with us. We are taking him Monday morning to check for a microchip. I have reached out to another rescue just in case but the last place I want him to go is the shelter that’s why we took him in before that happened. Unaltered male. Super sweet and cuddly. Eatrs for days! Believed to be on the older side. We have kids, an inside beagle, and an indoor/outdoor cat that he has been amazing with.

Can anyone help foster ?

This handsome boy picks his person and loves them with his whole soul. Once you’re his chosen human, he wants to be by your side, involved in whatever you’re doing, always curious and always close. He’s a lap-layer and a bed buddy, but not the overly snuggly type—he just likes to be near you, soaking up the comfort of your presence.

He’s an active little guy with plenty of energy and a playful streak, but he’s also perfectly content to relax as long as he’s touching you. He does well with other dogs and enjoys their company, but he truly lives for his person.

He’s still learning the finer points of mealtime—kibble isn’t his favorite—but he’s motivated by treats and will thrive with someone patient who can help him settle into a good routine. He’s not a fan of the crate and prefers being part of the action, and he’ll need a home without cats (he thinks they’re for chasing).

He has a bit of a spicy side and can be nippy when he’s unsure, so he’ll do best with someone who understands boundaries and is confident guiding a dog with a big heart and a bold personality.

I say….. ‘We need you!!!!’. We are in need of fosters, short term or long term. We are 100% volunteer based and are in need of foster homes. Our motto is NO HOUND LEFT BEHIND and we can’t do that without fosters like you. The ideal foster locations are the Louisville, Lexington or Southern Indiana areas. You can also be located outside of these areas if you pick up your foster at one of the locations listed. Fosters are just a commitment of your time. We can, and will, supply the vetting, food and kennel for the foster home. All it costs you is your time and your love of the hound. We would ideally like to have a large list of fosters to rotate through on a regular basis. If you can open your home and heart to love a hound for a period of time while we try to find him or her the best placement we would appreciate your info. Who knows, you may just fall in love yourself. Please fill out the online adoption application and where it says: hound you are interested in….write FOSTER and the length of time you would like to foster either short term or long term. We process our fosters just like an adoption to make sure these hounds get great care while waiting for their forever homes. We hope you will open your heart and home to foster one of our hounds. Cash is looking for a foster/adopter. No kids or cats but gets along with other dogs.

PENDING Update. OLLIE has a new family . There were several apps to go thru. There are other dogs coming in so check back in . sweet boy Ollie was rescued from the mean ole vet and is now resting. Not sure he has realized he is missing a piece of himself yet.

Our sweet Ollie headed to see our friends at All 4 Paws for his big day of shots and neuter so he will be ready for his new family before the holidays. Wish him well!

I’m Winnie & ready to be adopted. I’m a love bug attention hound & I’ll talk with you. Love my outside running time & other dogs. I can play for a while then nap time. I’m about 4/5 yo and fully vetted. I need training help with jumping because I get so excited to see you. & house training because I was an outside hound. Are you my forever family?
