We recently hosted a public engagement meeting for the proposed Mae Street Village Senior development, planned at the First Link site, in the Dosker Manor community room.

The meeting provided an opportunity for residents and community members to ask questions and voice concerns about the future 55-plus senior housing community expected to break ground in the coming years.

Representatives from Louisville Metro Housing Authority - LMHA, including caseworkers, social workers, and our development managers, were available to answer questions, gather design suggestions, clarify uncertainties, and explain the redevelopment process for both the First Link site and the Dosker Manor apartment community.

Mae Street Village Senior is expected to include 127 one- and two-bedroom apartment homes, with completion targeted for spring 2028.

The Belltower turned up the heat and the fun, with an unforgettable resident event. From refreshing slushies and sizzling pizza to soaking up the sun poolside, it was the perfect way to kick back and connect with neighbors.

Another major step forward in our mission to build thriving communities.

We’re partnering with Denton Floyd Real Estate Group on Shepherd Springs, a new workforce housing development coming to South Louisville.

Shepherd Springs will offer 260 luxury apartment homes, including one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans. Residents will enjoy access to high-end amenities such as a community clubhouse, a resort-style heated saltwater pool, fire pits, gourmet grilling stations, a 24-hour fitness center with a yoga room, an express market, micro office spaces, a coffee bar, a meditation pod, a bike repair room, a children’s playground, a pet spa and park, a car wash, and EV charging stations.

“With housing trends evolving both locally and nationwide, the demand for high-quality multifamily communities will only grow,” said Chris Dischinger, co-founder of LDG. “Our partnership with Denton Floyd continues to enable us to address these needs in the Greater Louisville area, providing more families with access to communities they can truly be proud to call home.”

Shepherd Springs is expected to open in March 2027.

We’re proud to announce the closing of The Legacy on Kiest, a new affordable housing community in Dallas.

The development will feature 180 apartment homes with a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans. Residents will have access to amenities including a fitness center, children’s playscape, swimming pool, dog park, and community room.

The Legacy on Kiest will serve families earning up to 60% of the area median income.

Construction is being led by Xpert Design & Construction, with civil design by Dunaway and architectural services by Arrive Architecture Group. Financial partners include R4 Capital and R4 Capital Funding.

Our summer camps have been fun out of this world!

Recently, our young residents at The Eclipse in Russell explored the Solar System and got hands-on with a little science and creativity—yes, they made SLIME!

Big things are happening at our Riverport Landings campus!

Construction is moving right along on our Bezos Academy Louisville – Riverport preschool, built in partnership with the Rita June Foundation. This preschool will be located on our Riverport Campus, an intergenerational community that includes housing for seniors, families, and the Family Scholar House.

At LDG, we believe quality housing is just the beginning. That’s why we continue to invest in services and programs that empower our residents and uplift the neighborhoods we serve.

The Bezos Academy is one of three preschools being built across our footprint and we’re thrilled to see this one taking shape.
