storms are scary for humans, but we are capable of logic — doggos are not!

tips on how to keep your dogs safe & less anxious during these storms:
— TETHER your dog, even with an enclosed fence. Whether you use a regular lead or tie up a long lead… this is crucial. Thunder can cause dogs to bolt & find creative ways out
(Reminder, if your pet is on a tether they HAVE to be monitored — the rain sucks, yes, but safety is the priority)

— I personally advocate for the use of CBD and H**p products to reduce anxiety. There are many scientific studies done & I’d be happy to provide links to some to ease any worries about them

— I never say this, please don’t take your pets out until it’s absolutely necessary. I am on a 3-4 hour rotation with mine currently. STAND. OUTSIDE. WITH. THEM.

— Set up enrichment activities (treat toys, towel burrito [wrap treats in a towel], scent games [throw a treat and make them find it], or using bones / chew toys) Anything that will mentally stimulate your dog

As humans, please keep yourself safe. You cannot keep your dog safe if you aren’t. Don’t drive unless required, don’t spend prolonged periods outside, and hunker down in an area with minimal windows🐾⛈️

half a year professionally dog sitting & walking💙🐾🤎

This is truly my biggest passion in life (other than my other job, working in an outpatient facility for adolescents). I don’t think of it as a job, it has been the greatest gift granted to me. To be trusted in one’s home, with their precious babies is the highest honor.

At first this account was just a way to advertise myself, and now I’m excited to announce I’m in the process of getting an LLC. Eventually, within the next few years, I hope to expand my services with the help of another person.

I have been so blessed to have been completely booked with long term stays consistently since I began. I have gotten so busy with dog walking on top of it I’ve started to refer to other companies & asking that my willingness to help will have them consider me for dog sitting in the future. I do not overbook myself, because I believe in being fully engaged in my commitment.
