Just wanted to make a post for my customers that knew my little Peppy. As most of you know he had congestive heart failure and collapsing tracheae. He had done quite well for several years, however, last Friday he took a turn for the worse and I lost him yesterday. He was not the typical chihuahua. He loved every person and dog he met, especially beagles!! He was the sweetest boy and I always referred to him as my sweet mouse boy. He was the last of our original and the smallest of our pack of 6. Roxy, Gracy, Luke, Cody, Dharma and Peppy. You will be deeply missed my sweet mouse boy!! Run free and have a blast with your brothers and sisters.

Just wanted to give everyone an update: Meagan has accepted a grooming position at Feeders Supply in PeeWee valley. They will begin providing grooming services August 1st. They are taking appointments now. All the information is below.

It is with a broken heart that I make this post. Puppy Love will not be re-opening. This decision was just made late yesterday and it was one of the hardest decisions I ever had to make. It has been a pleasure to care for all of your babies...each of them and their parents hold a special place in my heart. My love to you all and please keep me updated on the babies. Please stay healthy and safe in this COVID environment. The health crisis is not ending soon. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me for recommendations for your pups daily, grooming and boarding needs.

Working on getting everyone on the grooming schedule! There are a few spots left on the week of June 15th and a few more the week of June 22...so if your pup needs a groom prior to our June 29th opening date, call me on my cell (or message me on fb) to get on the schedule! We are reopening June 29th! Don’t know why I keep saying and typing the 27th other than my brain cannot keep track of the days any longer! The 29th is for daycare and boarding...grooming will begin a week earlier and I will be contacting everyone to set up an appt. Bear with me as I have over 100 calls to schedule and I am trying to do so in the fairest/quickest way possible. We could possibly begin grooming even 2 weeks earlier but I have a ton of work ahead of me to get us up and going again. There are changes to procedures involving safe handling practices to maintain the safety and health for everyone involved. Also, we will no longer accept credit cards. Since I closed I cut as many unnecessary cost as possible and while reviewing the cost associated with cc services I was astounded at what I am charged annually and believe me it is not cost effective to continue with this service. So upon reopening it will be cash or check only. We look forward to seeing everyone soon and in the mean time if you have any questions or concerns, please let me know!

Just wanted to update everyone regarding the ability to reopen May 11th. After much consideration and agonizing over this, I have made the decision to Not reopen until at least June 1st. My decision is based on the fact that my husband and I are considered high risk and the number of cases have not declined lower than the number of cases when we closed. I want my family, my employee’s families as well as my customer’s families to feel safe when we do reopen. I do hope everyone understands my decision and that I am extending the closing for all of our benefits. Stay safe and healthy and I will update everyone later in May.

Watched the governors update tonight. The tentative date is May 11th for reopening pet services, however there are guidelines to follow for reopening. Those guidelines are to be announced on tomorrow’s briefing. I will update everyone once I see what those guidelines consist of. Keep in mind that I will have my own phases of reopening each aspect of the business as well and my guidelines will most likely be stricter than those given to everyone by the governor. All in the name of staying healthy for all of us!! I will update when I learn more.

On behalf of Puppy Love and staff, I would like to say Happy Easter!! We miss all of our furbabies and their parents. Please, let's all do our part to stay safe and healthy at home!! Hopefully we can get back to a somewhat "normal" or what will be considered our new normal very soon! Love you all!!
