Those of you that know that I am a beekeeper and have purchased honey in the past, this year's harvest is now available. If you haven't purchased honey from me, now is your chance. It is Certified Kentucky honey from my personal hives which are located in northern Bullitt county. The honey is raw which means that it has not been pasteurized and has only been coarsely filtered so that the pollen remains in the honey. I have one pound squeeze bottles, pint jars, and quarts.

Unfortunately, we are still doing curbside service. We want to thank our clients for being patient with us. Hopefully, this Covid ordeal will be over soon. Our reminders have been a little behind since we were not able to do any routine services or surgeries for a month and a half. We are about to get caught up. Thank you again for your patience.

With all the rain that we have had this summer and now the moderate temperatures coming, there may be a serious flea problem within the next few months. Fleas are always worse in late summer and early fall. Make sure that you are using a good flea control product on your pets.

Cold weather is upon us. Please be mindful of your pets. Those that are outside when the cold temps are here need to be brought inside or at least in an enclosed area with some safe form of heat. Make sure that any dog houses have their openings facing away from the prevailing winds.

Late summer and early fall are our worst times for fleas. We are seeing more fleas on pets. Make sure that you are using a good quality flea control product.

There has been an increase in the number of PARVO cases across the Louisville area. I want to encourage you to make sure that your dogs are up to date. Also, puppies need to have the full series of vaccines.
