**UPDATE**
Yesterday, we had our hearing regarding the location at **5226 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40216**. We will no longer be using this for our business, EFFECTIVE May 14, 2026. Which also coincides with our current business model change? As we were leaving the hearing, we ran into a HUGE local celebrity in the pet industry. Louisville's own EthanAlmighty (please see his page and check out this guy's story of hope and survival. His owners were totally understanding of my "90's boy-band-geek-out" moment. What are the odds that I would run into the walking poster-board of survival and NEVER GIVE UP attitude? EthanAlmighty brought together our entire city with his heart-wrenching story of survival, grit, and hope. Since he and his wonderful owners have been a non-stop force for legislation, rescues, and animal abusers. I mean, really, God? Here I am, under the circumstances, still feeling super defeated and thinking, "maybe I need to just give up on this".... then I see the pillar of strength, hope, and survival in Ethan. I want to thank EthanAlmighty and his family for stopping to talk to me, and because of this, EVOLUTION DOG TRAINING, LLC IS NOT DONE! We are transitioning into the next chapter, closing the last, and taking with us everything we learned.

At this time, we are suspending all group classes. (does not mean we won't have workshops or seminars- or even mini (3-4 handler-dog teams) group classes in the future.

We will focus on our sport dog coaching, private obedience classes, and on establishing working relationships with other Pet Industry Businesses. We are almost finished crafting the new service and price list. We will be announcing everything in the coming weeks and plan to roll out this new business model by June 1st.

This is a FORMER student of ours in our Puppy Training, Millie. I was very amazed as she tried very hard and every week she improved. Here she showed a beautiful focused heel. Hey, for a 9 Month-old puppy, that's awesome. But that's where hard work and doing the work AT HOME, not just one day a week, you see us. Training HAS TO BE CONSISTENT! Millie and her owners were a shining example of "the proof is in the pudding". They worked consistently and it showed.

Small update. If you have ever put your email in our system you should get the following letter. Here, I explain in detail what has happened and what we are currently doing to start moving forward. I am working so hard to get all the paperwork filed so we can start training again with our new business model that I believe will better suit the community. Here we go!!!

Here's our Obligatory Plea about "Christmas Puppies". Everyone loves a puppy, but sometimes we get ahead of ourselves and skip the most important steps to getting a dog especially around Christmas time. Because during December, when they are all cute and cuddly. But in June the following year when they are a 75lb dog, its not so cute anymore when they try to fit in your lap. We get a lot of calls around March (month of the huge Kentuckiana Cluster of Dog Shows) for help with basic obedience. We get a lot of shell-shocked clients who didn't really think things through. It's Brrrrrraaaaggggs Time!!
So my private student Mallory and her Chinese Crested Mr.Grogu are my star pupils!! They made their show debut this weekend at the Kentuckiana Cluster of Dog Shows, held here in Louisville, KY. I've been away from AKC for about 3-4 years while I was training in Schutzhund. 2023, is slated for me to go back to training my own dogs in AKC levels and to coach and encourage my students. Mallory and Mr. Grogu came to me wanting to learn Rally. They work extremely hard in class and outside of class and I was so proud of them this weekend. The cluster is a crazy show for seasoned veterans, but to choose it to be your first show out the gate, it takes some guts and these two proved to have that. So here I am giving them the flowers they deserve: They trial in both Barn Hunt and Rally Novice A.

Rally Novice A: Thursday they scored 93 and second place. Friday was 74 and 3rd place. Saturday they NQ'd (please see my blog on my website pertaining to this NQ & judging https://evolutiondogtrainer.com/blog/ . And Sunday they scored a 99 and 1st place! They recieved their Rally Novice Title (RN) so CONGRATS!!! We are so proud and happy for them!!

Barn Hunt: Friday Morning: NQ'd. Friday Afternoon: Found the rat in 14.3 Seconds and got RATI title!! CONGRATS!! Saturday: 3rd Place and Q towards Novice Title. Sunday: 1st place and 2nd Q for Novice Title.

So very proud of this team and can't wait to continue to watch and help guide their progress in AKC Performance sports!!!
