In 1994 I was visiting family in rural Mississippi when I found a young dog on the side of the road. Rocko's story became a family legend, that moment that changed both of our lives forever. In 2007 many pets were poisoned by food that
used ingredients imported from China. Once I realized that China was the source of most pet products, I started making Rocko his own biscuits. It took 6 months to get the perfect recipe and he loved them. We shared with our friends and the response was overwhelming. Rocko's Rewards were here to stay. Rocko lived to be an amazing 18 1/2 years old. We journeyed through his senior years with our friends and fans by our side. When he finally had to let his tired old body go, he gave me an incredible gift with a parting dream, telling me it was OK. He would forever be by my side, happy, healthy and young again. That meant we had to keep going! We keep Rocko's memory alive by sharing what we've learned along the way. Today pet illnesses and deaths are at an all time high linked to imported ingredients. More than ever, it's important to know that what you feed your dog is safe. Rocko's Rewards are made by hand, by me. Our ingredients come from reliable sources. Nothing is imported, not even our bags. If you're wondering about those two black dogs all over our page, meet Thor & GynGyn, a mother and son who were picked up together as strays by our local animal control. Rocko's spirit brought us together. We're on a new journey now, going from two completely un-mannered dogs who ate the couch to Rocko's Rewards ambassadors. I've learned about training, nutrition, allergies, the list goes on. We all keep learning every day. As our lives have grown, so has Rocko's Rewards. We started with our Original Beef & Carrot flavor, then added Sweet Potato for dogs with allergies to corn or animal proteins. When the bond of senior pet ownership brought us together, the most common thing I would hear is that an old dog couldn't chew hard biscuits any more. We created our Senior Soft Cookies just for these special dogs. Our newest addition is Blueberry Frosted Biscuits (yum) and we will be adding assorted flavor gift boxes in time for the holidays!
