Any of these sound familiar? An ear scratch that turns into a head shake. A paw lick that keeps coming back. The belly rash that seemed to pop up after the last few hot days.

Summer can bring more pollen, grass exposure, flea activity, and outdoor time, and pets can have reactions that are easy to miss at first.

These fuzzy little purr babies are ready to find homes! They are playful, curious, and have lots of love to give! ✨

We have Almond (gray boy), Ritz (tabby boy), Apricot (gray girl), and Olive (tabby girl) in our cat cafe. They are about 10 weeks old and fully vetted through the Kentucky Humane Society.

Summer heat sneaks up on pets fast.

Before a walk, place your hand on the pavement for a few seconds. If it's too hot for you, it's too hot for paws. Choose early morning or evening walks, keep fresh water nearby, and give pets shaded or indoor breaks.

Heavy panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or bright red gums can point to overheating. A pet with those signs needs veterinary care right away.
