Salem got her first big girl haircut Monday, and she did so well. Keeping puppies on a schedule from a young age, typically 8-12 weeks of age, is critical for them. It's a gift you're giving to them - so they can learn that it's not a scary process, and that they can built trust with us as they age. At which point they'll fly from the car to the salon and not even realize when you've left, because they love us as much as we love them. Like Salem. She's got us trained, for sure. ❤️

Hello Mutthutters! I hope you're all staying safe and warm. For dogs still braving the snow to go potty, you can use a paw balm, coconut oil, beeswax or a petroleum based product like Vaseline or Aquaphor to keep their paw pads protected from the cold. Also make sure to pat their legs, bellies, and feet dry to ensure they aren't staying too cold, or dying out from consistent contact from snow. This has been a public service announcement. Also, videos and photos of your snow dogs will be much appreciated 📸 ❄️ 🐕

Keep in mind, that leaves Monday(15th), Wednesday(17th), Thursday(18th), Friday(19th), and Monday (23rd) with limited appointments available. I encourage you to schedule your appointment as soon as possible, as spots tend to fill quickly leading up to Christmas and New Year's Eve. Hello Mutthutters! During peak season (from Thanksgiving to new years day) we may be closed to walk-in services on some days, and may not return phone calls until the end of the day. This is to minimize interruptions to scheduled clients dogs. You'd be amazed how long a single small haircut could take when you stop every couple of minutes to answer the phone or do a nail trim. If you need a nail trim on a specific day, feel free to schedule the time so we can expect you and prepare to put time aside. If you prefer to not schedule a solid appointment time, send us a message through our texting number: 270-600-7192 to ensure you are coming at a time that we are able to set aside time.
